Dolphins, Naanee agree on one-year deal

No, he's not a game-changer. No, he's not expected to replace Brandon Marshall.
But the Dolphins expect veteran experience and solid play out of Legedu Naanee after he signed a one-year deal with the club this morning. Naanee will compete for a roster spot.

Ran a 4.41 at the 2007 combine, fast player, if he can run good routes, might be an asset in a WCO.
4 TDs in 5 years...don't hold your breath. Depending on who we draft and where I don't think he makes the roster. There is a reason he's no longer in San Diego or Carolina.

Must have been brought in to push R.Wallace and M.Moore. Nothing like creating competition for that last WR roster spot. LOL

Well now we have eight number 2 or slot recivers on the roster.

And that's the typical Green Bay West Coast offense. Go back to Mike Holmgren's staff in 1996. The monumental collection of coaching talent that fell off that tree has been pretty consistent in their philosophy about WRs. Every now and then they will have an elite WR1. But for the most part, it relies on disciplined WRs that run great routes and execute. They don't have "me" players at WR. They work as a unit.

Honestly, the WCO maximizes our existing talent at WR and helps us moving forward by devaluing the elusive WR1 that always comes with baggage. I'm kinda glad we have a bunch of WR2's in this system.

When we hired Philbin, I felt great. I wanted him as a caoch. And, at first, I wanted Flynn. But I am more interested in us getting a great QB that fits us. I don't care how we get him. I don't care if Matt Moore becomes him.

I just know that the QB is the single most important piece in this WCO. But not like Peyton Manning important. Now, it's more about everyone doing their job. And not just relying on one or two guys to carry the load.

Unless we get a great QB, most fans outside of Phinland won't be able to list most of our players by name. And honestly, the way we draft it's for the better. We are probably one of the most boring teams to watch on draft day. We are the "UnSexy".

It pretty easy to let a guy go when he had 63 receptions for 746 yards and 3 TDs in 4 season with the Chargers. If he was truly talented they would have overlooked the incident like every other franchise but when your production is low and you're often injured they use it as an excuse to cut their losses.

If I am not mistaken he came into the NFL as a TE..He was moved to WR in the ladder part of his San Diego run...He still has some upside....
