I am not sure what they are (if anyone knows the Vegas odd please provide), but I imagine they're a long shot considering all the 'expert' opinions. And not just being a homer, but if (and it's a big IF) we get solid QB play and our playmakers stay healthy we can be an off the radar contender. Thinkin about throwing down $100 for the heck of it...what you guys think?

Definitely do it if you got the extra $100.

You'll be a rich man if they win.

I think they are 75 to 1?

But its called a suckers bet for a reason.

I was in Vegas a couple weeks ago and threw down a bill on the Phins to win it all. At the time it was 40 to 1.

Dude. just give me the $100. I but it to better use then throwing it away.

Love the positivity JEDI, you ever gone to a game the Phins lost, or paid $50-$100 to play in a pay fantasy league...and lost?

I ask because one could argue that would be just as much of a waste...just sayin.

Anyway, point is, I think they are being vastly underrated, which means there is difference between their actual capability to win it all, and their perceived capability based on empirical evidence from the past. In sports betting, those are good bets.

Yes and YES. But i had a chance to win in fantasy adn have won a few. placing $100 bet for the fins to win the superbowl is straight rediclous.

I think its a horrible bet and not alot of return on investment for the bet. There are alot better bets for your 100 dollars. I mean if u feel it will happen fine but nobody on this board seriiously thinks thats a possibility

40-1 is not so good from Vegas imo for the Phins. Vegas casinos will issue a 1099 if you win more than $600, so after you pay taxes on it, the payout is more like 25-1. Either get a bookie under the table or save your money.

I had my friend throw down $5 when he went to Vegas. Must have been hard for him seeing as how he's a Jets fan.

You are so right Jedi, no team in sports has ever had a 50-1 odds or worse, and ended up winning a championship.

It's not like teams in football like the Rams (1999), Patriots (2001), 49ers (1981), Giants (2007) or teams in baseball like the Marlins, Twins, Brewers, Rockies could all start the season as long shots, and end up winning it all.....impossible, Vagas is too smart for that to ever happen.

It's $100, I wasn't super concernd about the money, having a little action on the season makes it all the more enjoyable for me. If I win I win, if I lose I lose.

considering the dolphins beat the super-bowel champions
and should have beat the other superbowel contending steelers
with an upgraded defense and a motivated henne
with more playmakers adding on offense and a battle scar marshall
it is not a bad bet but not worth betting more than a Benjamin
