Phins tender Lemon and Jones; Barnes not returning

The Sun-Sentinel has posted some new information.

*Miami claims it released Kevin Carter due to "evaluation" reasons rather than salary cap reasons.
*FB Darian Barnes said that Miami will not be re-signing him.
*QB Cleo Lemon has also been given a second-round tender. P Donnie Jones was only tendered at an $850,000 salary, and can be signed by another team without having to surrender draft-pick compensation. CB Eddie Jackson was not tendered.
*Miami has not shown much interest in retaining DT Dan Wilkinson.
*A possible replacement for Donnie Spragan could be Donnie Edwards.

What? Old and overpaid, no thanks. OLB isn't even his natural position.
 
We hardly used Darian Barnes anyway, so no loss.Cam will find another FB, possibly that kid from the Ravens FB Ovie Mughelli.
 
Bring in Donnie the old LB had 141 tackles last season and wasnt injured, he will also come cheap.

This might be why you signed that other punter. If there is a team out there that wants a good one. Donnie might be the man for them. Man this low tender I think is gonna hurt alot of teams losing players with no compensation.
 
thanks but releaseing barnes already shows miami is goin for a big time FB.
 
I Love it,,,get rid of em all,carter,wilkinson,zgonia,they were'nt true dolphins,this is what we needed to do two years ago,lets see what wright,wright,evans,and vickerson can do.

Much repect goes out to mueller and Cam for cleaning some house
 
You see relying on bringing in old vets to fill out your roster is the easy way out,,,saban was a wuss,he did'nt have the guts to build the team from scratch with young guys,,theres a confidence about Mueller that he's gonna find the young studs no matter what.......... i love it

exactly. if u look saban dindt really do ne of the things he said he would. he built players from the draft but never played them. he was scared to lose so he wnet with proven guys to save his career. i think he realized he wasn't cut out for the NFL.

very true,,i think that little troll knew during his first year that he was toast.

Hopefully we can sign Mughelli.
It would be an upgrade from Barnes definitely :D
