***Phins/Texans Post Game***

I think our QB would have LOTS more success on another "team", but you are somewhat correct: Our franchise hasn't won a big game in many years. I want new leadership, not just a turnstile HC. I want a GM that can put together a consistent, winning franchise. If anyone on here thinks this season is all on Tua and MickeyD in that order, I disagree. MickeyD is not ready to be a HC and I don't believe ever will be. He is not a Leader of Men. Our GM has not proven to be able to make the right personnel moves, the OBJ signing being just an example of an expensive, wasted move on a washed-out, aging vet player.
For the record, I think Tua had a bad game. But the below can be true as well.

4 Tua turnovers. It’s time to end the Tua era, his stats are empty calories when he never shows up in must win games
Every game since he came off IR has been a must-win. This is the first one where he struggled. Of course, starting our 4th and 5th OTs didn't matter, I guess.

Yup. 1 more yard and that's a td
Ok this is actually the first time I've watched this replay.

1) It does not look like Tyreek even has Stingley beat.
2) Did everyone miss that safety coming over to help? This was never a TD unless both Texans miss tackles.

I originally thought it was underthrown as well but now I'm not so sure. Might just be more of an unbelievable play by Stingley.

Disclaimer: I still think Tua had a bad game and this does not absolve him for it. Just finally looking at this single play more closely after the fact.

It wasn’t a good throw. It was under thrown. Hill still should have had it.
It was a decent throw. This is the problem, the QB didn't need to make a good to great throw every ****ing time. We pay Hill to make those catches. Brady/Brees/Rodgers/Stafford/Sam Darnold threw plenty balls exactly like that and his guys come down with it. AJ Brown caught multiple balls like that. Is it possible they are spoiled with his accuracy and when he does throw a ball like that "even though it hit him in the damn chest" they won't go and get it?

I'd rather an underthrow where the WR1 can go up and get it rather than an overthrow where they have 0 chance. But I know only perfect throws are acceptable here lol.
That's what I'm trying to say, not every ****ing throw needs to perfect in stride. Tua hit the play making zone.cAJ Brown comes down with that. DeVante Parker comes down with that ball.

I thinks it's best to have a great speedster at the 2nd or 3rd option. Then your other receivers are big.
The offseason we got Tyreek, I wanted Davante Adams instead bc he's a big target. Was happy to be wrong the past couple seasons but now idk again. Would love to see what Tua could do with a big WR1 with a big catch radius. Maybe one day, after we fix the oline lol.

When I see him play, I say the same thing. He is not afraid to throw 50/50 balls. We need some Plaxico Burress types. I want our #1 to be that type.

A couple of thoughts.....

* Tua was bad yesterday no matter how you want to look at it. Very surprising based on how he has been playing, but he was not sharp at all

* Our inability to run the ball is frightening. 52 yards rushing was pathetic and this requires us to throw it 40 times yesterday and that is not going to work for us.

* Tua seemed to not see the safety in the middle of the field multiple times and the Texan's did a good job disguising their defense

* We ran the ball multiple times to the right side of the line behind Carman and we were stuffed or lost yardage on most plays

* It is also odd that our billion dollar receivers can't seem to get separation from the defense anymore. Taking away Hill and Waddle is clearly a defensive goal against us, but for their talent level, they should be able to beat their defenders fairly regularly and it isn't happening

* Offensive line in general got manhandled by a bigger and tougher Texan's D-line

* Our defense did a good job in my opinion. We actually held them to less total yards than we had, won the time of possession game. However the offense put them in a bad situation several times with short fields leading to points

* We lost this game due to turnovers and allowing points off of those turnovers. That aside, this was a defensive struggle and both offenses were awful.

* Penalties were an issue again and hurt us on several drives

Overall, we just aren't a well constructed team and it shows, the question is where do you make the fixes necessary to change the culture from a team that is "afraid to win" and to become a team that knows it is going to win!

Also, want to give a shout out to Chop Robinson and Zach Sieler. I really appreciate their effort and their play. It is also great seeing Chop grow into a more impactful player as the season progresses......hopefully, that just gets better and better

Shity throw into good coverage. Tua = Bad throw.
