@AdamHBeasley: Dolphins have traded Jordan Lucas to Kansas City for an undisclosed draft pick.

Good special teams player but I didnt think he would make the 53. Interesting that they got a draft pick for him -though it could be conditional

Believe we drafted him with a 6th round pick

got a 7th

@RapSheet: The #Chiefs were in the market for a safety and found one, trading for #Dolphins DB Jordan Lucas, a former sixth rounder from 2016. A 7th rounder goes to Miami.

Ha ha suckers. Everyone thinks they can do something with that athlete.

Then he plays on your defense and It’s no bueno

"You're an asset, an expendable asset." 6th > 7th. Small loss, but a loss none the less.

Nice. Never really saw much of anything with this dude.. some say he was good on specials, but still, meh. At least we got a 7th from someone who was going to be cut

It doesn’t matter what you paid for a player. Sunken costs are gone forever.

It’s like sitting at the Blackjack table in Vegas. You got $100 left in your pocket, doesn’t matter one crap if you walked in an hour before with $1M, or $1. What you have is what you have.

Teams making player keep/cut decisions based on what they “paid” is a recipe for disaster (see: “Carroo”).
Contract status can figure in the decision, but what you PAID to get a player, in draft picks/trade etc. really should not matter. Unless, of course, you are afraid to admit failure and unable to admit to your owner that you fu***d it up

when was the last time we traded a player for a pick higher than the one we used to draft him? It seems like every time we make a trade we get something lower than what we paid for. I'm not complaining about this particular trade but man, so many times.

I gotta give respect to Gase and the front office man. Good for getting something for him. We've been making some really solid, smart football moves and drafting well.

Doesn't seem like the same Dolphins to me

It sure would matter to me if I walked in with $1 and an hour later had a $100 or if I walked in with $1 million and an hour later had $100. Sure my total is $100 but you couldn't convince me it was the same either way. One has me going to a decent dinner and the other has me looking for a roof to jump off of.

You know the saying about trading a player for a bag of potato chips? Well this time we traded potato chips for a .... well, a hamburger. But its an improvement
