AFC

East : Patriots - They still have Brady and Belichick right?
North : Steelers - Players returning on the OL to go with a great defense and a clutch QB
South : Texans - They get hyped every year as if this will be the one they break through. With Peyton Manning questionable for at least a month or so and perhaps the season, they could finally do it. Bringing in Wade to run the defense should help.
West : Chargers - Vincent Jackson is back and Rivers will dominate
WC : Jests - I hate to have to do it. First time Ive ever picked the Jests to make the playoffs, but its tough to deny their chances, especially with the Manning situation.
WC : Chiefs - Matt Cassel said he's got your fluke right here

Teams that may surprise you......
Bills - Dont be shocked if they win 7 or 8 games. Fitzpatrick is as underrated as any player in the league. The defense should be improved
Broncos - No way does John Fox let that defense perform the way it did last season. The offense was already decent.

NFC
East : Giants - A lot of injuries to the defense, but this team is loaded with playmakers who can rush the passer and score from all parts of the field. If Eli cuts back on the INTs, this is an offensive juggernaut.
North : Packers - The short offseason is an advantage for the champs
South : Falcons - One word for ya...... Ice.
West : Rams - Sam Bradford picked up a couple of new weapons. This team is on the rise in a weak division.
WC : Saints - A refreshed rushing attack gets the Saints back in.
WC : Lions - Suh is the best defensive player in football. If Stafford stays healthy, there is a reason a lot of people are on the Detroit bandwagon.

Teams that could surprise you......
Redskins - Shanahan is giving this team a complete makeover. Grossman is better than he is given credit for.

Predictions check......

AFC looks pretty solid. All predicted division winners are in 1st place. Jets look like they may claim a WC spot. Chiefs pick looked real bad early on, not so much now. The Bills and Ravens will both have a say in this but, not bad looking picks.

As for surprise teams, Buffalo was a great call. They should get to at least the 9 wins I predicted. The Broncos however are just plain terrible. Only real bad looking call from the AFC side.

In the NFC, picking the Rams is an obvious loser. The Giants pick looks real nice right now, but they do have a brutal schedule the rest of the way. Packers was too obvious so its hard to take credit for a good pick there. The Falcons are definately a shaky looking pick right now, but there is a long way to go and the Saints showed they arent unbeatable this week.

In the WC picks, the Lions and Saints both look like playoff contenders, but there are many teams looking to stay in the mix in the NFC towards late December.

In the surprising team pick, Washington started off pretty well as I suspected they may, but it looks as though they are now in a position to go into the tank. They are beat up and starting to play real bad football. Mix in John Beck as their starter, and its obvious wins will be hard to come by for them the rest of the way.

All in all, these were some pretty solid picks though as it stands right now.

Not too bad.

The two SB teams are teams I picked to make the Championship games. I hit most of my playoff teams and all of my teams that could surprise you didnt totally stink it up. Well Skins and Bills started out pretty strong before they stunk it up.

I didnt buy the Eagles hype. Predicted they wouldnt make the playoffs and that held true. Called the Giants for being exactly what they were. And too many people STILL sleep on Eli. Eli > Rodgers btw. Get off Rodgers nuts for one playoff run. Eli has pulled it off twice now.
