Pick game this year that personified our season and explain"why".

For me it was the Colt's game...
Offense looked great at times, held the ball for 45 minutes and "BAM"
defense would give up big play after big play.
Ginn would drop a big "clutch" catch at the end to start a trend.
Typical way games would go this year..close but no cigar.

The Colts game was a good choice. How bout the Houston or Titans game. Showed a lot of heart but dug into a hole they couldn't get out of. Then a lot of the season went like the Bills game, couldn't finish them early, couldn't close in the 4th quarter.

Colts and Saints for me.

The team shows that they can be great at times, but most of the time just doesn't play up to it.

The 2nd game against Buffalo...

Come out on offense and smash the rock down their throat on the 1st drive all the way to the 3 yard line....only to see Henning bring the gimmicks out and turn it over in the endzone on a Ricky interception leaving points off the board.....

Not to mention the defense making a scrub Ivy League backup look like John Elway....

I think the life was sucked right out of the team immediately after that Ricky INT and never really recovered for the rest of the season....this was the game that put Miami behind the 8-ball that never should've happened like it did...

I have to go with the 2nd Pats/Dolphins game, because in most of the games it looked like the same story, defense is MIA for most of the game, Henne makes a mistake or 2 (as most young QBs will do), our receivers drop a ball or 10 they should have caught, Miami falls behind, then showing all types of heart, they refused to lose, and came back to win, or made it way too close for the other team.

Games Like the Colts,Chargers, Patriots game 1 & 2, Jets game 1 & 2,Titans, Texans, and even Steelers game were all games that Miami could have been blow outs, but instead Miami refused to quit and made them all very exciting and close games.

Fix this defense, and then see how many holes this team really does not have.

the second Jets game. for most quarters of most games we sucked but occasionally pulled one out of our butt... at least the Jets got to smell it.

The Bills game because I drove 14 hours round trip to see us lay an egg against a terrible ****ing team. FML

People say the Colts game and how we dominated and should of won. That is BS, those are the games the Colts win. 3rd and 6 from their 30 yd line and we run the ball. 45 min of possession aint **** if you dont score TD's.

The Saints game is our season in a nutshell. We DOMINATED the Saints. They had the answer for the wildcat my ***, watch the first half, it worked better than against most teams. They just sold out on run in the second half. We gave up just enough plays to lose and couldnt generate enough offense to win in the second half. **** the Colts game, we were up 24-3 on the Saints. Also the refs didnt like us this year and that game was the beginning.

I won't pick a specific game but the losses this year went one of two ways:

Get the lead but eventually blow it

or

Trail the entire game, come back, tie it perhaps, then lose late.

All signs of a team that isn't ready for the big leagues yet.

the chargers game, i love chad henne, but i really think we missed chad pennington and how he took care of the ball and lead the team.

uhhhhhhhh didnt pennington play the chargers game? and fumbled the hand off to ronnie?

You guys are a bunch of negative Nellys. I think the 2nd Jets game and the 2nd Pats game was our season in a nutshell. We really did not have the talent to compete, but the heart and being a true team allowed us to overcome. We lost our best 4 of 6 players on this team to IR, and had the hardest schedule in the NFL, but somehow was still alive for a playoff shot till the last minute of the season. When we started 0-3 I wanted my NFL sunday ticket money back, but by the end of the season I was so happy I spent the $300.
