Pick is in ...

At least I didn't hear Ted Ginn Jr, I am very happy we didn't take a scrap heap quarterback in the second round. About time this team showed some nuts!

What's not to like about spending the #8 pick on a developmental project?

I can not wait to see all the posts a year or two from now when we realize tannehill is not an elite QB.......what a ****y pick, all these trades going down and Miami can not find a partner to trade back with. I am done... i can not root for this team anymore.....i feel like I am going to have a heart attack, i can not believe we are the laughing stock of the NFL......do you guys want Mark Sanchez as your QB because that is what we just got with Tannehill.........terrible

Newton only played 12 or 13 games in college and he played well in Carolina. I dont think RT sits more then 1 year and if we dont make the playoffs he will be starting towards the end of the season. Maybe he can start half way thru the season. newton started from the beginning and it was rough the first half but great the second half of the season.

All I hear is negativity. How can you deny his upside?! This pick is 50/50 to me. I think he will either be a big fail or a big star. Let's all just relax, be patient, and see how it goes. I trust Philbin and Co.

i like the pick we have a face for the franchise now

What horrible pick. It was a pick to sell tickets. This guy may turn out to be good but isn't ready to start for next three years. They should have traded down and take risk to see if they can get him in the middle of first round.

Please explain, how do you sell tickets if he's not going to start for the next 3 years.
It's about time they take a chance and get a QB.

I predict he will be either great, terrible, or somewhere in between.

it was the right call...and had had ireland traded out once kuechly went kc would have gotten squirrely about tannehill...he may not be a franchise guy but it was the right call...and at the right spot

I am ok with this pick. It would have been nice to trade down and do the same thing but maybe that opportunity wasn't there. All the players picked since we picked are going to be good players. None of them would have made Miami a winner though. Tannehill has as much chance to play and win as any qb drafted. There are just as many who make it as there are busts in the history of 1st round quarterbacks. Yes I know it was a reach but in the end it doesn't matter. We needed a quarterback and he was the next one available that isn't 28 years old. Just my opimion.:)

Well, while I'm not totally happy, at least we already know his weakenesses and how to game plan to get the best out of him..hopefully he learns fast and we can use him in a year.. Dan M. did sit behind Wooley for awhile....so hopefully this kid can sit for awhile before being thrown to the fire...get our OL fixed.. that will help.

I guess you wanted Ginn or Jason Allen etc. etc. etc.
There is no guaranty that even Luck could be worth the 1st pick or RGIII for that matter.
