Interesting to me that Daniel Thomas is getting so few votes in this poll. He'd be my third choice. Perhaps people think that either Reggie Bush is going to have another healthy season or that Lamar Miller is going to step in and be pro ready right away. I doubt either one of those things is true but perhaps I'm in the minority there.

IMO, Thomas year was marred by his hamstring injury. I simply expect him to have a better season this year.

I voted for Gates because he only had about 14 passes thrown to him, only two of which were considered catchable. If we upgrade from the worse pass protecting OL in the NFL, then Gates could get the chances he needs. From what I understand, he is being worked in as a starting WR ATM. I personally would start Hartline of the right side with Gates on the left and Bess as the slot.

When Gates catches his first couple of long pases, he will not only get the "Revis" treatment but will also will get a safety deep on him like B Marshall was never able to do.

Having traded Marshall was a real plus for our young WRs. I expect to see Gates get a extra 30 or more passes thrown his was, another 30 plus going to our TE with the rest going to the other WRs.

If we can fill the RG position I'm seeing Matt Moore improving on last year's performence which simply was one of the best my a Dolphin QB in some years.

The domino effect is why I voted on C Gates having the breakout season, if he has a big year, it will open it up for everyone else.

Cam Wake! Hopefully they get someone to balance the load and I bet cam has a pro bowl year.

All of them. But I voted Jimmy Wilson because I think he has the most to prove and has a huge ceiling.

You emphasize WANT so I'd want Reshad Jones to go from the worst starting safety in the league to breaking out. But I don't think it's very likely. Same with Gates. Of who I think is capable of playing at a higher level I'd go with Sean or Vontae. There's untapped potential for both of them. I'd like to see Vontae stay healthy, consistent and take his place as one of the league's best corners.

They moved Jimmy Wilson to safety, right? Hope he becomes Jack Tatum Jr.

Vernon & he's not just a want he's a need. Two pass rushers on defense make the rest of the defense look a hell of a lot better.

This thread is winding down now so it's interesting to look at the results. There's a clear A and B choice here and then the rest are fairly closely packed together, with Daniel Thomas and Brian Hartline edging out the pack slightly.

Interesting that Reshad Jones ended up last. If I had to bet on one player who WILL have a breakout season -- rather than what I would want -- I would be sorely tempted to pick Jones. With the move to a base cover 4 scheme, Jones (assuming he wins the job, which I do), will be put in great position to make plays in the box, similar to how Yeremiah Bell did when Pasqualoni (who also ran cover 4) was the DC.

In the division we are in it would be nice to see our pass rushers excel. We need to limit scoring as usual.
