Does anyone remember that article that came out about how picking later in the draft was more of an advantage to a team. It was called something like the "Rich get Richer"
Basically it stated that the first 6 picks are the worst deals because they tie up so much cap space as opposed to a guy picked 32nd. It actually also said something like you are better off trading your first round picks for second round picks for this reason.
With this Ronnie Brown situation I couldnt agree more. Paying a unproven running back that kind of money is rediculous. I thought the deal Eli got was over the top. Now San Fran with all their GM prowess decides to pay Alex Smith on a 20% increase. That really screwed us too. :fire: I hope they put a cap on rookie spendings at the new CBA hopefully they cap the pay increase to how much the salary cap increases.
