Picks for Dolphins vs. Bengal Game (ESPN)

I'm going out on a limb here...Due to the young nature of our O, they are the type that once they get some success, they will gain confidence and go into a frenzy, and the rest of the team will feed off of it...34-13 Miami. Yes, I know how much work we still have instore to get to where we need to be, but I have that hunch...

C'mon you guys!!! I'm a Dolphin fan completely and I will never stop rooting for this team, but our performance in that Titan's game was one step above a Class C highschool team. Collectively, 3 running backs couldn't produce 100 yards??? 14 penalties?? Jay Fiedler??? They did bench him thank god, but to bring in an unproven AJ Feeley, for who the most part got a bunch of garbage yards. Lets face it fins fans, this season isn't going to be successful. This season will be good for some of the younger players to develop; I really see us going 6-10. I think that teams realize we can't run the ball too well and we don't really have a proven quarterback so they can easily blitz on every down and play man to man on our receivers. I think Wanny and Rick S. are just grasping to hold onto their jobs and they are killing the future of this team. I say we just keep our heads high, battle this season out and hope to win and focus on next year on who we can trade cabbage smoker (aka Ricky) to for some good talent and/or draft picks...am I way off base here guys??? This team only has a good defense who won't and can't last all season playing over 65% of the game each week on the field!!!!

Guess u need a new team then whinner.. shessh. So i guess we should all give up after week one

JUST REMEMBER THIS IS THE NFL ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN ANY TIME ANY PLACE
PERFECT EXAMPLE ABOVE LOOK AT THE BILLS LAST YEAR :roflmao:

Ok ladies, lets all relax and take our paxil or zoloft. Everyone sit in a crosslegged position and hum. Now chant the following scripture:
"The World Champion New England Patriots lost their first game of the 2003 season to Buffalo 31-0 and went on to be successful".

We need Tim Bowens and Rob Konrad back in the lineup.

Can you imagine what Feely is going to do with Konrad as an outlet? Also, the running game should improve significantly with Konrad lead blocking.

No one is talking about it, but Konrad is a HUGE part of our offense. When he comes back (hopefully it's this week) it's going to help immensely. I see him getting over seventy five yards receiving if he starts. That's going to take even more pressure off of Chambers and Gordon will be a threat out of the backfield as well.

Booker's going to adjust his routes to the proper depth and Feely's going to focus more on the deep routes to Chambers. It's all going to depend on the Oline's ability to protect Feely.

As for Bowens, he's a big help in the middle. Tenn didn't really run on us that effectively. They had two long runs and those were blown assignments which are correctable. That said, Timbo's absence hurts us. I was happy to see Bryan robinson in there instead of Zganina, who is just too small to hold the line upfront. Robinson made some plays and like Lamar Gordon, with a full week of practice next to Chester, we should be able to cover that spot until Tim is healthy again. When Tim returns, I like Robinson as the third DT off the bench and in passing situations.

They will really look silly when we are 6-3 going into the bye.

Only way the Phins get to 6 wins is by the end of the regular season.

although i think we can win against cincy, we aren't the powerhouse some of you think we are. there are a lot of delusional people around here. we are staring at a 5-6 win season. it seems like most of you won't realize this til around week 17. :(
Finnally a realist! I don't knock you guys for representing your team the way you do, everybody does that for their teams, but let's get real, you guys have a mess to clean up down there.

Phins will be fine, give it a few weeks for the team to gel and play a little together and we will be fighting for top of the division. GO PHINS!
And Espn guys are wrong all the time! all the time!

I am a dolphin fan and I have seen our offense play WORSE than they did on saturday in the last 5 years. In the last 5 years I have not seen Miami go 6-10. I guess I am just going by what I have seen in the last 5 years with my own two eyes.

yep, we will be .500 or better. AJ/Gordon are going to be a nice surprise.

For the haters, the wagon is full

Tex i have to agree with you on that one!! You guys are going to be at the bottom of the AFC East, the sooner you realize this, the better off you will be.:roflmao:

Well as a fan of a team the media has crushed for 14 years, I know what you are feeling. Now the media likes to pick the bengals and im like ok we dont have room on the bandwagon for you guys. lol

Thanks for letting us know. It sure is great to have such an informed poster with excessive logic and reason behind his position. How can I possibly rebutt this intellegence??? Oh wait his handle is bleeding green so that means a jest's fan??? If so, then nevermind, becasue any team who's primary chant is derived from Hooked on Phonics can never be taken too seriously.:)
