How realistic of a shot does this former FSU stud have to make the 5th WR spot??? I would rather have Sam than Az-Zahir Hakim or David Sutton

1. Chambers (Z)
2. Booker (X)
3. Hagan (Slot)
4. Ginn (4 WR set)
5. ???

He supposedly tore up NFL Europa...but is that impressive enough??? I hope he tears it up at Training Camp

It's possible. He has to beat out Az-Zahir Hakim and (if they are factoring NFLE Play) Marvin Allen.

Honestly, the onyl person he has to beat out is Hakim. Hakim has the advantage because he is experienced and has put up some decent numbers before so he has proven that he can produce some. P.K. Sam has a lot of upside though and is fairly tall at 6'3" and is young and shows much potential for some years to come. Its between the two of them.

Honestly, look at Cam's offense . . . does he even go to 5 wide sets? He seems to rely on the FB quite a bit, and obviously he is a TE man. It will be tuff enough to get 4 WR's on the field, let alone 5. For this reason alone, I would go with a youngster like Sam, Malone or Sutton . . . probably Sam over those 3 because he most likely would be the biggest special teams contributor. I mean honestly . . . why have Hakim as a #5 receiver? That absolutely makes no sense to me.

How do you know that he's any better than Sutton or Hakim?

watch out for Michael Malone in camp. Moses' son is very raw, but has all the physical tools needed to be successful.

Allen was allocated to be on the PS,only, for this year. This is a special exemption so that he will not count against the PS roster. In other words, he will be a 9th PS member. Normally the PS is 8 players with little or no NFL game experience. If the team is impressed enough with his play on the PS I believe they have to wait until next year to add him to the active roster, I may be wrong on this though. Any one else understand this NFLE exemption better?

PK was the go to guy over in Europe. If he can take that experience and attitude into camp he's got a chance.

Hakim has the advantage of experience (albeit not a good one IMO, too fumble-prone like Lamont Brightful, remember him?). PK has a good blend of experience and upside. Tall WR is something this team could use especially in the redzone or the endzone like Vincent Jackson was for Cam's Chargers. With Martin a questionmark, it seems to me we'll need a possible big target to work with. If PK can translate NFLE success in TC, he should win the job.

The bad thing about it is that if we dont sign him he wont be part of this team because you wont be able to keep him on the PS.

The reason is simple, it's called DEPTH. Injurys do occur you know. If someone goes down, we need backups that can come in and play at a high level.

When you're talking about that end of the depth chart, it could come down to who is the better special teams player.
