Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress (17) celebrates with center Shaun O'Hara, (60), left, and Jeremy Shockey after scoring a touchdown on Oct.
29.

New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress is talking trash again, only a few days before his team's big matchup against the Chicago Bears.

"I don't think they're the best corners I've played against or we've played against this year. By far, no," Burress told the Newark Star-Ledger, in reference to Bears cornerbacks Nathan Vasher, Charles Tillman and Ricky Manning Jr.

A few weeks ago, Burress called Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens a "coward."

About the Bears' DBs, Burress said, "Those guys make plays (on) the balls that are thrown straight to them, but they're not just covering guys straight up and just shutting them down. I haven't seen any of that.

"They're very beatable."

About which set of defensive backs were the NFL's best, Burress told the Star-Ledger, "Definitely not them. If they want to come out there and play cover-1, bump-and-run, be (my) guest. I, for one, love it.

For some reason, I have trouble not agreeing with this statement.

I think this is going to bite him in his az...

Chad Johnson , T.J both called out the pats db`s and what a sad beating it was.

It was funny to hear T.J on Tv saying they cannot cover us so they ran a good coverage covering us .....i was like what the heck is he saying?.

85 has been running his mouth non stop with nothing to show.

A pretty bad beating. lol

Well, whether Plaxico will even play this Sunday remains to be seen. But what will be seen is Amani Toomer not on the opposite site which is a tough loss. Not to mention... Strahan injured, Madison has been injured, Arrington is done for the year. But honestly... I still like the Giants to win.

This guy never shuts up, at least when TO, Chad Johnson and others speak they are top Wrs but Plax has top WR talent but never gets it done. I remember him running his mouth about the Jets secondary leading up to the Jets-Steelers playof game 2 years ago and he wound up w/ 2 recs for 28 yds but that was much better than his playoff performance last year where he ahd zero recs for zero yds.

Kinda a dumb statement from a guy who probably won't even play in the game.
