Play calls on 3rd down

Is it just me or on anything 3rd and long it almost seems like Tanny always checks it down. Like if we need 9 yards, he'll throw it 5. I know people are going to say he has no oline to hold up, but seriously half the teams in the league don't have a good oline (and definitely not 2 pro bowlers like us- Albert and Pouncy).

It's pretty much true but, on the other hand, if he chucked down the field and threw a pick people in here would be killing him as well.
