well the season is done so lets see what the young'ns have in them

1.In-matt roth, out-jason taylor, if taylor has a bad foot why risk futher injury for a game that means nothing, we need to see if roth can play

2.in manny wright, out-zgonina, wright is not ready to start but he should be in the rotation and zgonina is done after this season

3.in cleo lemon, out-frerotte, not for the whole game but just for a series or 2 that can be scripted, lemon is not ready to start but get him in for a few plays kind of like cleveland did with there qb's last week.

also i am glad to see pope starting and i think alabi should get a series or two later in the year, but i dont want to mess up are line chemistry.

Jason Taylor is not at risk for further injury with his foot. Saban also appears to want to use Roth at Closed End, not Open End. Two different positions.

If Manny Wright is not ready, putting him on the field serves NO purpose whatsoever. He'll get destroyed, kill his confidence, and he'll gain nothing from it. He doesnt have alot of experience playing football, and he was pretty clearly a project player coasting on physical talent in the preseason.

Again... If he is not ready, playing him is counter-productive.

I too would like to see some of those guys play.I think Roth should be playing more This guy is not a bust after only 10 games. He needs to get a chance to play more.We don't need to start Manny but a few snaps are not gonna hurt..he needs to see for himself what is like to play in the NFL.As for Lemon,I don't really mind him playing but I doubt that he's our future stater at QB.

Ozzy rules!!

Were you the doc that cleared him??
It's better to play him a lot less i'd say; save him for next season, where he'll be 33.

I dont agree Nole. I am with Saban on this one. He plays the talent when they are ready and show they are able. He only plays a backup if injuries dictate it and he thinks they have earned the shot to atleast give it a go.

Saban isnt in the business to tinker and abandon his plan. He is about providing an enviroment for players to prove and earn playing time.

I am waiting for all those you mentioned to show us they are ready, but Saban has a clear view of that.

I think Lemon was brought in to be the primary backup to whoever becomes our future QB. There was obviously things Mueller and Saban liked about him and these days you need a good backup QB.

Well me and Saban have disagreed on a few things. A lot of coaches stick to that playing the most productive player doctrine, but if you go back to the Feeley case look where we might be right now.......maybe not much better but not much worse either. At least Roth should get some more time.

I guess you didn't catch Saban's press conference. He's not going to play guys just because they're young or the season is over. Everyone who plays will have to earn their opportunity.

Feeley was horrible. He lost his job to Sage, and look how well he did last Sunday. Doesnt say much about Feeley.

A lot of the young guys have already been playing. Crowder and Daniels play all the time, and Roth comes in every now and then.

Guys like Alabi, and Wright may not be up to speed yet to play in a regular season game.

Derrick Poop is gone this offseason.

No, but I actually paid attention when it was stated, smartass. Here-

Linn said the injury normally heals by itself without surgery and won't worsen by playing on it.

I'm going to take this as you suggesting Derrick Pope isnt very good. What, exactly, are you basing this analysis on, because it certain isnt reality.
