Playbook discusses Miami on NFL Network

This segment was absolutely hilarious... the same crew was trashing Miami hardly two months ago, and now they're suddenly very optimistic.

Nothing but praise for Saban... Baldinger says he's been coaching the pro game in college for the past few years, so he shouldn't be compared in any way to Spurrier.

They also think Houck will be able to improve the offensive line, and mentioned that Feeley was helpless behind the line's horrible play last year. All but Baldinger said Feeley should start.

Even Sharpe was decent... last time I saw Playbook discuss the Dolphins, Sharpe dragged them through the mud.

Isn't it interesting how the media's tune has changed in the last 48 hours concerning Miami?

Baldinger was very positive, and very good with what he said. Sharpe on the other hand has no idea what he is talking about. He said How is our O-line going to get better, we didn't draft any O-line man, and we will have the same starting 5 as last year. Well we did draft, and we signed 2 big Lineman. Carey didn't play last year, and he said Houck doesn't line up on Sunday's. Then said the key is Ricky Williams and running the football, and if he runs the Football, and O-line opens up holes, we will be ok. This right after he said we will have the worst O-line again.

i know sharpe was a dum dum. i mean come on. look what houck did for san diego. thier lineman sucked. 2 years ago everyone was like drew who? now everyone knows brees. this time next year, feeley will be drafted in the first round of many fantasy leagues.

So much for slipping under the radar if we have all of this media attention. Then again its good to see that not every1 hates us.

These guys get paid to talk. They'll say something one day, back it up with some obscure statistic, then say the opposite the next day. I stopped watching this show long ago because they analyze things the way a lukewarm football fan does: bad record = bad players. We were 2-11 at a point in the season (right before the Pats game) and they said how our defense was horrible and couldn't stop anyone, they showed a bunch of clips of guys running the ball on us and one where Zach Thomas was tripped up near the line. Two sacks, four interceptions, and a huge upset later, the same guys were saying we had one of the most talented teams in the league but suffered from a poor coaching staff and Ricky's departure. These guys just say whatever they want, occasionally disagree on things, and make ***** of themselves on TV.

I think Baldinger's comments were more insightful than most of the national media coverage we have been getting. It's nice to finally get a little respect. I think Miami's a team that will really surprise people.

And people thought Deion Sanders was obnoxious? Shannon Sharpe reminds me a lot of Stephen A. Smith. Hey, maybe if I shout my opinion, it'll come true! SHANNON SHARPE IS A LOT LIKE STEPHEN A. SMITH. NATTERING NABOBS OF NEGATIVITY, THEY ARE!
