Who is the player of the year in your opinion shags.

Mine would be J Taylor again, although much against my expectations CC would be there abouts

JT, but Chambers is a close second. He makes Frerotte look average instead of bad at times!

Chambers has pretty much single-handedly won the last 5 games for us

JT or Zach, if you consider the entire year. CC has been most visible towards the tail end of the season, with a few blips towards the start.

If it were over the last 4 weeks i would have CC -- Other performances to look at are ZT or JT, or even H Houck

Offense it's Chambers of course.

On defense, I can't really choose between the two, but I think it's Thomas.

On ST's, it's Welker of course.

To me, what's good about this team is that there isn't one player to pick out that made the team what it has been the last month or so. Sure, Chambers has had an excellent year, but Booker and Welker have solid enough in support to allow him to not be triple-covered. JT is awesome, but Vonnie Holliday has been great. We all love Zach, but Crowder's surprisingly advanced play has really helped. The defense as a whole has been above average, but how good would it have been with Donnie Jones' repeatedly booming punts and the entire ST's spectacular coverage downfield all season long. And the whole offensive line, as we know, has stepped it up big time.

And this is a very good thing, because we're not the 2004 Dolphins, where, without Ricky, we were toast. I realize he might not be back next season, but we have two RBs to rely on right now. We have more than one good receiver. We have more than one premiere DL/LB. With player development, free agency, and the draft, we're in a position to fill holes with good or even very good players but don't have the need for the overpriced prima donna superstar, and I don't necessarily mean TO. Except for QB, we've got some kind of real plan or evident way to fix it this offseason. That's a very secure feeling.

I would say CC because he singlehandedly rejuvenated his career and got to the next level that many doubted that he could achieve. However, I vote goes for Zach Thomas. There was speculation that his production would drop off in Saban's system, but he's excelled tremendously. Plus the guy strapped on a harness and rushed himself back to the field when there was a slim chance of us making the playoffs.

Are you kidding?! It's all about Reggie Howard!!!!!

I'm playing.:sidelol: It should go to J.T., with Chambers and Zach tied for second.

Zach Thomas and maybe Lance Schulters, i mean besides his couple of trip ups im impressed with his turnovers.. :dolphins:

I'm not sure who to pick, but in that same stretch, JT has had 7 sacks. The biggest reason the D has stepped up lately is him. Not saying I would argue agains tCC, but I would argue that nobody has single handedly won the last 5 for us. bell came up big twice saving games in that stretch too, but I wouldn't pick him, just making a point.
I think I'd have to wait until next week to decide between CC, JT and Zach.

Jt or Zach Thomas on defense. Both had outstanding seasons, showed leadership and really embraced Saban, which I think rubbed off on the other guys. When guys seeing the two highest paid, best players working just as hard as a rookie trying to make a team, it went a long way in how this unit played as a whole.

Offensive player of the year is Chambers. Every doubted (including myself) if this guy would ever breakout. He did it this year and is on his way to big things in this league. It may have taken a while but he's made it!
