Hi Guys, not sure if this is in the right section but I have a question to ask about player packages. Being in the UK and never actually playing the game I have no idea about what goes on on the sidelines during games. But how do players know what packages the coach wants at particular times? or different scenarios? I was watching the San Diego game last night and it came to a second down and 3 or 4 players left the field and you just saw their replacements run on the pitch? Does someone stand on the sideline shouting a package name? Also, if, say someone was injured do the players just go by depth chart or do they get to told to go in?
Sorry if this sounds dumb but there arn't that many sports that allows multiple personel changes like the NFL..another reason why I love it!
