Last night in the NFL Network they were discussing the prospects for the future Head Coach position for the San Diego Chargers. They were discussing Norv Turner and Mike Singletary. With regard to Singletary, they were discussing the fact that he is still in the early stagtes of his coaching career. Then, the discussion turned to the way he performed in Chicago as a LB in the '80S. Adam schefter then stated that in his view, players that play in some positions are more likely to become assistant hc, offensive coordinators, defensive coordinators, and / or head coaches. He claims that quarterbacks, defensive ends, and linebackers are the positions where players are more likely to become coaches due to their approach and preparation for the game. Would you agree with his assessment? If so, are there any players right now in the NFL who could become great coaches in the next 10 or 20 years? Any dolphin players?

I agree. And, I could see Zach Thomas coaching in the future. Not sure about HC, but he has the brain for a linebacker's/defensive coordinator job in the future.

I can see Peyton coaching too. Peyton Manning and Zach Thomas are NFL nerds.
