"Some of it will depend on if the Dolphins do flail down the stretch as they have had in recent years," Rapoport said. "Talking to some players there, there is some concern over Philbin's lack of emotion, which has really been a concern over the last several years. They're a little nervous that they'll be out-schemed again in December. Let me give one quick nugget about this, something that really rankled the players. Philbin had them attend leadership classes, something that kept them late at the facility. They weren't sure why, they didn't really understand it."

I hope Joe was sitting in the front row taking notes.

I don't believe in anything that is reported about the Fins from any journalist anymore

Joe is just not a leader of men, but he probably makes for a great secretary.

I'm I'm not mistaken, he won Ross over with his impeccably organized binder for how he planned to make this a winning franchise. A binder.

That, and Ross probably dropped a gum wrapper on the ground, and Joe said "let me pick that up for you."

Ross: "Your hired."

3 years and no winning season. I was one of the first to call out his name in the coaching search. And for that I'm sorry.

I think youre thinking of an even more ****ty Miami coach: Al Golden.

Geez…sounds like Hayden Fox's complaints since Hard Knocks was on. Terrible selection/hire.

Does anyone have faith that Ross will fire Philbin? Any faith the he'll find a solid coach to take next step? A motivator, good at scheming and game managing .

Nothing to be happy about Hayden. Don't you wish you had been wrong? You sound as if you're happy he failed. I'm not happy about it cause that means the team failed too.

With Dan to whisper in Ross' ear, I hope he doesn't try to retain Joe at anything less than 9-7. Even by Ross' own standards of needing to make the playoffs this year, Joe should be fired.

Ross is a smart businessman. He already kept a coach one year too long out of loyalty. And that season was a disaster. Surely he will not repeat his mistake.

I wish 10 million times over I was wrong. I really do. I hope he coaches is his ass off for a win today. I want this team to win as many games going fwd. Gladly, will I eat crow.

With that said, my post deals with posters who savagely attacked and mocked me. Where is their crow to eat?
