For a defense that has given up 380 points this season, which is in the bottom part of the league, maybe this unit is not as strong as we thought it was last season.
Ive been keeping mental notes on players that either shouldn't be here next year, or on the brink of cut.
1) Randolph Crowder(that is his real name. Go to NFL.com). Randolph to me is not what you look for in a middle linebacker. He often takes poor angles, is an inconsistant tackler, not a very good blitzer, and below average at shedding blocks. For god sakes the guy has ONE career interception. I like his speed and his coverage ability and leadership, but I would have rather had Bart Scott last offseason than Randolph.
2)Gibril Wilson. I thought this guy was going to be a beast this year. I thought he was a good tackler. Not only is does he miss tackles, he is horrible in coverage and has stone hands, As evidence by today.
3) Akin Ayedole. I don't even care to spell this guys name right. HORRIBLE in space, I cant count on 2 hands how many poor angles this guy has taken this season which allowed big runs. There is a reason why this is his 3rd team. I like Reggie Torbor much better. I would like to see Erik Walden playing in his spot this week.
4) Joey Porter. Quite simple, all talk no walk. He talks a big game but just doesnt have it any more.
5) Sean Smith. I know he is a rookie. ZERO ints this year having started EVERY game. Thats not the issue, this guy is I swear the worst tackling DB I have seen since Deion Sanders. He seems as soft as Ted Ginn to me.
I really want to know what you guys think about or D.

I agree with everyone you mentioned except Sean Smith. The kid did an excellent job of covering Andre Johnson today. What he has to eliminate is the mental mistakes.

There is no player on the defense that escapes criticism save Cameron Wake, Jason Taylor and Randy Starks.

Snoop is in my dogg house....

Pretty much the safeties, joey porter, crowder and Jason taylor.

Crowder, Wilson, Ayodele, Torbor, Porter, Taylor & W.Allen...Yeah that's right half the starters on "D" Time for a serious talent upgrade.

LOL. Randolph?

Its true. Go to the Moblie version of NFL.com on your phone. Then look at rosters by team name. For some reason the mobile version only shows the real names.
Its funny, the Dolphins to mention are
Randolph Crowder
James Pennington
Errik Williams

..... Paul was not mention even though he is not a player, but lets put it this way whether it ****ing us up to suck in the 4th or to suck in the first half you can count Paul P.. Dan h. and paul are so vanilla you can give them a pro bowler in every position and still fine a way to make us fall short.

gibril, channing, akin, joey.

cant expect more from JT, he plays the strong side well, and cant expect much more from either corners. both played very well this season for rookies. the whole d-line was awesome this season.

Wilson and Crowder are in my dog house. I really like Jason Taylor being a leader on our sideline today. We needed someone to set those DB's straight. I think it worked too. After that we played much better D.

Also, as much as I dislike PP, his half time adjustments were phenomenal today. He did a great job.
