Players media blitz "a mutiny"

Odrick said he wishes Martin had handled things differently. He said he and other teammates would've tried to help him.

This is what's sad,if players saw any abuse they would have stepped in and said enough is enough, they saw nothing.

I call this story bull****.

The players were thrown under the bus too by the media. They are defending the locker room.

Armando stirring things up again.

He and Omar are on a roll. I'm surprised they don't get punched in the head while talking to the players.

It must have been agonizing standing by watching someone who you knew had your back being left out to dry and pillaged when you were aware your cowardly complicit coaches were making him a sacrificial lamb to protect their own asses. Kudos to the players for manning up to tell the truth. And what they don't say about Joni Martin speaks volumes too.

I thought I heard from Hartline (and it was being reported on NFL Network) that the players were told to be open and honest.

I think Armando put his own spin on this because Hartline specifically said "And now we're able to say our opinion"

I heard the same thing Finz....think they were allowed to open up yesterday and it was a good move

No.

"We were at a point where we weren't told to say anything. We weren't going to talk. There's an investigation. Plain and simple. You guys expected that," receiver Brian Hartline said. "And now we're able to say our opinion and really protect ourselves from being bullied by [the media] because we weren't talking. Nobody said a word. We weren't fighting back. There were no comments from Richie. There were no comments from us. And we just sat back and listened to it a couple of days.

"And we got kind of tired of it. We got to the point, and you guys can judge, but it caught us all off guard and it's a shame it happened."

EDIT:

Sorry to finz99, I misread your post and I pulled up this quote for a different reason.

Yes it's definitely been confirmed that Philbin encouraged them to be open and speak their minds. So any articles stating otherwise are complete lies.

Why were Dolphins PR guys standing right there watching this and not saying anything? They let Ryan Tannehill go off for like ten minutes straight. Why are these videos posted right up as the main features on the team's official website?

Please. Joe Philbin has no idea what was shown on Hard Knocks, either.

Joe better figure it out or he will have players doing whatever they want on game day.

I watched Philbin's presser live. He seemed quite fine today.

After all the crap that has been said about this team, he wouldn't allow them to respond.

As he said in his presser.. "I'm going to let the players comments stand by themselves."

To me that's more of an a endorsement.

Seeing the PR guy there timing it all, I feel like there was a gag order, but it was lifted today.

I think you guys are right... Armando strikes out again!
