With all the quotes coming out lately about players not buying into the system, perhaps the "system" that's being talked about is the pass-first offense led by Gus Frerotte?

I mean the players are watching all the off-target passes too -- what must they think when a gameplan is primarily a passing one? If I have Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown (two all-pro-caliber players) next to me on the field and my gameplan is primarily a passing one led by Frerotte (a journeyman), I might be scratching my head too.

strange, i think of it as a pass first offense lead by your offensive coordinator. Gus is just doing what is asked of him. 40+ passes is a lot of passes.

Right, and that's what I mean in a roundabout way. They may not be buying into the idea that games are resting on the shoulders of a journeyman when they have two all-pro-caliber running backs on the field.

I think the players see the offensive line on its back every play also!

What is the meaning of life?

Show me 1 quote where a player comes out and call frerotte out by name.
You've been starting ALOT of very negative and questionable threads since sunday.

Thats gameplanning and playcalling.. and that is Linehans call.

Right, but why, for example, don't we throw short, high-percentage passes to the RBs and have blockers out in front? At least that would get the ball in the hands of the best athletes quickly, which solves the O line problem and the downfield passing problem, and it instills some confidence that the best players on offense will be carrying the load.

This is why there's a question mark at the end of the subject. If we're not speculating about things here, what are we doing?

EDIT: ****, my bad, i thaught you said it was "sabans call".... i need to learn how to read. :(

but i just blame the offensive coordinator for the fin's offensive problems. thats all im trying to say. how i took the position of defending Gus.... i will never know. :shakeno:

Because our TE's and RB's are blocking!

than whats an offensive coordinator for?
he calls the plays.. unless saban was given that power. and he braught the pass happy offense from the vikings. the only problem is, that the fins dont have cullpepper or moss.
That's exactly what I'm talking about here, and I'd rather not spend time defending myself about why I started the thread, thanks.

ill give credit to the opposing teams defensive coordinator for that.
