A little Happy Hour discussion to share on players playing bad and having excuses or reasons over the last few years. Add in any you can think of.

Odrick was bad at DE, needs to move to DT. Many here said that, and were spot on.

The OL needs time to fit together. Surprisingly, did not.

Miller and DT need some blocking to show if they are any good. No argument here.

Wallace needs a year to adapt. He is much better but, we still have he question of changing the O.

Wheeler needs a year and to go back to the strong side. In spite of the TD he is much better.

Now we come to Tannehill. Is the change of O's an excuse or reason for his struggles after 5 games?

Gee, I wish there was one thing I could put my finger on. He doesn't seem to be targeting Hartline as much. They had nice chemistry. His passes are somewhat erratic and inaccurate. Our players don't get the ball with the ability to make enough yards after the catch IMO. He's regressing. Maybe... just maybe... this is who he is.

Could be, don't know. I do believe that changing what you have done for 4 years in 4 months cannot be an easy thing to do. I can't go either side just yet.

I think as much as everyone wants instant results. We need to wait. Give him the season if he is still inconsistent. We will move on. Not like we have another option. Don't give me any matt moore talk

I'm not sure that the change in scheme would lead to a high level of inaccuracy. I didn't expect him to light it up right away but he has only performed at a high level for 2 halves thus far.

Jarvis landry is taking over Brian Hartline. bank it.

HARTLINE'S GUARANTEED money is his signing bonus plus 2013/2014 base salaries...2015????

I doubt Gibson hangs around with his salary and guaranteed monies already paid...2015???

Gibson has $1M left on his bonus but we would save $3,225 in salary. Net savings $2,225, last year of his deal, and he will be gone.

Hartline has $4.2M left on his bonus but, we would save his $5.9M salary. Net savings for 2015 #1,7M. However, we also save his salaries of $6.1M for 2016 and 2017. IF we were to replace him with a FA, the fist year is always cheap, and then escalates. So, we could sign someone for the $1.7M first year, and the $6.1M the following two to balance the books without an actual loss.

Aside from pass coverage, which he has always been horrible with, Wheeler has played tons better this year.

Could be just that Hartline is bad and is only capable of running curl routes. I've noticed a lot less attempts at the deep ball this year. I'd also like to see Rishard Matthews in this offense because I think he can bring some more to the table in terms of YAC.

Wallace has only 6 targets of 20 or more, catching 2 with no drops. That is an improvement, and he has 4 TD's compared to 5 all last year. I would still like more deep throws, like Philly last year.

I don't think we are trying the deep throws because he can't hit them.

For the year RT is 4 of 15 with 2 drops. If you include the drops for accuracy, he's at 40%, a bit better than Rogers and Stafford, and a few points behind Rivers, Cuttler, and Manning. FWIW.

Don't bother dude, so many people are convinced Ryan Tannehill can't hit the team ball (and admittedly, he has missed some deep passes bad) that they there is no arguing with them.
