players that had a short stay in miami that you wish we kept

Shoulda, woulda, coulda, Brian griese would've been the better of the 3 qb's had we kept him, not picked up Feeley. He would've been in his 2nd season in the offenesive system, known it better, and handled the offense better than Fiedler, Feeley, or Rosenfels, IMO. All they had to do is either restructure his contaract, or pay him the money for that 1 year, which if I'm not wrong was less than that of Feeley's deal? Who would've been better to have Greise or Feeley? Along with some of the others we should've kept:

Mixon & Bromell on defense
(Bromell broke Mannings jaw on a sacK)
Marco Coleman
Norman Hand
(2 serviceable defenders)
Troy Vincent would've been huge (how many pro bowls?)

How long did Aaron Craver play for us? He was lke a bullet with a football. Fast, loved to make contact, and had decent hands. I loved watching him play.

how about rueben droughns, the running back from denver.

Only played on special team and was released, but imagine if he was that productive for us.

No way Droughns would of been as productive with us! He had one good year behind Denver's O-line, which produces 1,000 yard backs like crazy. Denver traded him right away cause he wants more money, and he just isnt worth it.

We drafted Mike Kadish in the mid 70s, who went on to have a solid and (league mvp) career as a DT for the Bills.

couldn' think of anybody  , but here's list of people IMO who stayed way too long:

Paul Lankford
William Judson
Tony Martin (i know he left and was actually productive in SD, but was worthless here both times)
Tom Ollivadotti
Tim Ruddy
Jonathan Ogden
Wanny
Our strength and conditioning coach, John Gamble

Jonathon Ogden plays for the Ravens.

I remember who you're talking about though.........he was a little white guy...... returned kicks for us. I believe his name was Jeff.

Okay, guys who played here 4 years plus really isn't a "short stay" playing here, so guys like Csonka, T-Buck, Troy Vincent, don't count. With those parameters set, about the only guys I can think of that were a real shame to have let get away were Norman Hand and Brian Walker.

I agree, except for one thing: Walker was here four years. Granted, he only saw significant PT in three, but the fact remains. http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/4451

Norman Hand was the first guy that came to mind. He's turned into a pretty solid DT, something we could use.

Brian Griese, too. Is there anyone who wouldn't take him over Feeley or Frerrote? I think he'd have some success in what should be a more wide-open offense. I was sorry we didn't bring him back and am even more so after his success last year. Thanks again, Coach Pornstache.

Tyrone Wheatley would have been a big help to those RB-less Johnson teams.

Ya we shoula never gotten rid of Hand. He and Bowens were teammates and buddies in college. I bet they would've made a helluva combination. It just took longer for Hand to develop than the Dolphins wanted to wait.

Adewale Ogunleye comes to mind. A lot of people argued that he isn't as good as he played in 2003 but he benefitted from having JT on the other side of the line. Truth is, I don't care because we do have JT on the line and the complimented each other nicely. Highest sack tandem two years running.

no way. grey ruegamer has been a lifetime backup. he's only gone in because of injuries. this year he may be the starter at RG after the exit of rivera.

Funny I thought he also had been starting in New England before Green Bay on a couple of super bowl teams.

Anyways. I wish we could have kept Vincent also but then again if wedidn't let go of Vincent we would have had to pay him big bucks and we probably may not have had Madison or Surtain.

I also wish we could have kept Hand also along with Tony Martin. Those two were just starting to come into their own when we let them go . And after we did they did great things.
I also liked lamar Smith . And I also was sorry to see Bernie Parmalee go.

How about Jamie Nails? Put him at right guard and Rex at center and BOOM no more line problems.
