There's going to be some hard cuts for our team as some players are making it hard for the coaching staff to cut them. This is just my opinion for a few players that made a case to make the team last night and really for the way they've played during the preseason.

1-Rudock- Yes all his playing time has come against 2nd and 3rd stringers but he's played well and last night had another good game. Most teams don't keep 3 QB's anymore but think of the possible injuries and they might keep him. If he gets cut you can forget about him going to the PS. Another team will grab him quick.

2-Ford- The only way he doesn't make the team is if the team decides not to keep 6 WR's

3-Laird-He's been very consistent all preseason. If there's a tiny hole to run thru he always seems to find it. He's another guy that we won't be able to hide in the PS.

4-Gaskin- This guy ran for 1000 yards in EACH of his 4 years in college. Last night he showed what he can do. There's a chance we could put him on the PS.

5-Walton- Has done well and the team likes him. Could be getting suspended for a few games but the team won't know that till probably next week. That plus Drake not being 100% could make us keep them all.

6-Myarick- Last but not least this guys has been our best TE this preseason. He looks the part and he seems to catch everything to throw near him. 6 catches for 78 yards last night on 6 targets and seems to be blocking well. He could beat out Smythe who I like. You cut this guy and he's gonna get picked up by another team.

Those are my candidates on offense. Maybe somebody else will do the defense?

What do you guys think?

Yea none of the LBs stood out for me. PS Watson maybe and call it a day.

The DBs as well. All practice squad guys.

I'd only roster Armstrong from what I saw in the back 7, and that is mainly for special teams and upside.

Up front will be interesting. Taylor came in super late . . . Have no idea what's going on there. I assume Carradine is on despite the extended look last night. Rest of those dudes are close and all bottom of the roster types.

This might be the least talented group in the NFL but they work hard. Scheme will be vital as these guys hopefully improve on the job.

Thanks for doing the defense as I was paying attention to the offense more.

Walton runs hard
i think he is our third RB

Well, if its even Miami is keeping the younger players. I still think there's a good chance we see at least one trade. Maybe Stills, perhaps Drake. A surprise cut could be Alonso. I don't think there will be too many surprises, though.

Real chance that Gaskin is the best RB on the roster. He has the best combination of vision and burst through the hole.

He showed well last night. Looked "faster" and more confident in general IMO.

You're 100% right about his vision -- and good feet too... Very strong following blocks and navigating tight space.

I still think he lands on PS but maybe that's Laird's position now?

I would actually have no problem keeping Walton, Laird, and Gaskin and try and trade or cut Drake. I don't think the Dolphins will resign Drake after this season and maybe they will just move on from him now.

At the end of the day it comes down to pass protection for the RB's.......who can pick up a blitz will matter as to who stays and who goes.

I doubt we just cut him but I can see us trading him for sure.

For goodness sakes they’re not cutting Drake, put down the sauce...
