Players that won't be here next year

Just like the thread says, what players won't be here next year, in your opinion. For me it's...

QB - John Beck: Henne clearly seems to be the heir apparent. I say they'll trade him for a low round pick.

C - Samson Satele: I just don't think he's big enough for Ireland/Parcells. I think he could flourish in another system though. Hopefully there's a trade market for him.

LB - Matt Roth: The guy is just too stiff for me. I'd prefer someone with more athletic ability.
 
I have to disagree with Roth and Satele. I think Roth had a real nice transcition to OLB and he will be a serviceble backup. Satele Im iffy he can be an excellent Backup.

Torbor or Anderson. Torbor is extremely expensive and was horrible last year.
 
lets trade beck and satele to the Ravens for Cam's head... or McGahee

i like roth as he is excellent in run support... i dont see why anyone would think he wont be here, especially if the dolphins dont have anyone better than him !

We need to keep either Satele or Alleman.... losing both would suck.


Jason Allen should be a bigger topic right now... is he on the way out or is he locked in for a starting position at CB ???
Remember Paulie P did leave him on an island with Moss the last time we played them... they must think something of him as a corner...
 
If Beck and Satele are not here the only lone survivor of the 2007 Draft class would have been Teddy. WoW!

Andy Alleman and Rodrique Wright will both be here next season. I'm fairly certain that Reggie Torbor is safe, as is Charlie Anderson.
 
It it hard to say. I think Charlie Anderson has a lot of potential, and it will show more next year.

Really, we can't predict who goes without knowing who we select in the draft or who other teams cut along the way.
 
Gotta get rid of C.Anderson and R.Torbor.The front office made terrible decisons signing these guys and the contracts they gave them.Alot of wasted money along with J.McCown and Wilfords contracts for players who did very little.
 
Wilford....WILford....wilFORD....WILFORD. Need I say more? Cut our losses while we can.
 
By saying "Players that won't be here next year", Are you meaning ...
A) ... those who won't play as Dolphins in 2009?
B) ... those who won't play as Dolphins in 2010?

A) As today I can't see a trade parter for Beck, but obviously he's on the trade line. Also I don't see a good reason for cutting neither Satele nor Roth, because they're serviceable even in worse case scenario where they can't win a stating spot, but both will be key backups. But just remember Satele will compete for both C & G positions, so I foresee him as starter at guard. On the other hand, Roth is no longer a defficient DE, but an excellent OLB and with Holday gone, he's a big piece of the puzzle, perhaphs not a full time starter, but one effective pass rusher comming from the bench.
On Wilford, he represents a huge salary cap hit if we cut him this year.

B) Too early to tell on other guys, but given his pathetic performance and the salary cap saving if we cut him before entering next year's FA, Wilford will be out of here unless he transforms into a lethal WR worth of his contract, something that looks as unlikely as winning the SB this season.

Hmmm...I am willing to give Beck another shot at proving himself. Splitting pre-season snaps with Henne will give us a better idea of how they are both shaping up after an extra year of tutelage. But, if they do trade him, I won't be losing any sleep.

As for Roth, I like him. I think he is great in run support and he is a team guy. I say keep him.

As for Satele. After signing Grove to five year deal, it seems they will try Satele at guard. If that does not work out then this will be his last year in Miami. imo.

the ravens would take satele i be, he has value to us too could end up starting at guard
