These are the players i will be watching closely tonight. We really need to solidify who starts at LB opposite Porter. Will Charlie Anderson prove to be a good stop gap at the position? Will Phillip Merling make the transition to SOLB?
Can Reggie Torbor man that position( He has been all over the field ) making plays thus far. Can Paul Solia plug in as a capable backup to Ferguson? Conditioning is the biggest factor with him imo. Is Michael Lehan healthy enough to man the nickel slot?

On the offensive side of the ball, will Indukwe show enough as a viable backup incase of Injury to BIG JAKE? Will Jusitn Peele's blocking equal his pass catching ability and if so does this leave D. Martin on the outside looking in?
Jalen Parmalee and Cobbs will fight it out for the 3rd RB slot, slight edge imo to Parmalee who seems more to the liking of Parcells, Ireland and Co because of his more Physical style and size compared to Cobbs?

The 2008 Dolphins are shaping up to be a Physical smashmouth in your face well conditioned, play to the whistle and beyond Team that before this year is out will hav us ALL STOKED FOR 2009 AND BEYOND!!!

thats the same thing we said when Nick Saban became our coach...and it didnt happen. Though i do admit we are looking much better now.

I think players to watch tonight are the ones who havent solidified their starter job. As of right now we still dont have a starting QB. So u gotta watch for the FB position, WRs, TEs, the O-line is set i believe...and the DL and LBs need to be watched for also. I think the DB unit is almost set.

I'm just gonna post this in this last thread:

Remember to post the site where we can watch the live feed of the game tonight on the internet. Thanks in advance.

See people keep comparing this stuff to Nick Saban but what people dont realize is that when Nick Saban tried to build this team, he built it through free agency and trades and did it with veterans, and thats why it fell apart on him. Now were building the right way, through the draft. the future is bright dolfans, very bright.

you might want to look at the sticky towards the top of the forum, as to get nobody in trouble

Anthony Armstrong must make an impact tonight.

Foster needs to show a lot to make this team but is going to the Practice Squad.

Cobbs needs to show something in the return game.

Bess needs to make some plays out of the slot and not get penalized.

Pennington needs a solid game, for I think he will split the game with Henne 50/50.

I think Joey Thomas and Billingley both have a good chance to make the team and if they made a few plays that would be good for them.

Boomer Grigsby needs to make a few plays to solidify his position both on O and ST.

Our recievers will be like this:

Bess Wilford Hagan Ginn and Armstrong with possibly an additional pick up on waivers.

DB's Lehan, Goodman, Allen, Thomas, Billinsgley, Allen, Bell, Hill, Crocker, Davis

RB's Williams, Brown, Parmale, Cobbs, Grigsby ( possible waiver FB)

yeah, I think Pennington plays into the third with Henne finishing it up.....

I'd like to see AA out there with the starters, but he may be better served coming in with Chad2 because of his better arm.

I think that it may be a moot point though, because come a week from today, there may be 7-10 waiver claims, completely reshaping the bottom half of the roster....even Bess will to play well to avoid the turk

I've seen the papers predict their 53 man roster.....pointless now, because it will undoubtedly be different when they suit up for the Jets

I agree, the players to watch tonight will be Armstrong and Camarillo as they are dueling for a roster spot. Not that other players aren't, but that's the battle i'm watching. Grigsby and Mauia is a good one too. Also it's a no brainer that we need to be watching the play of the Quarterbacks Henne and Pennington.

The player that needs to do well tonight is Pennington. He had a good opener now he needs to show consistency. I really want The Penne to Ginn to work very well tonight maybe even produce a TD. Then Henne will get the majority of playing time so he needs to do the same thing hes been doin. Overall I just want to see consistency of the players that have been doing well this preseason.

There's one huge difference when Saban was coach and our current regime. The players respect Sparano and the current system. Most players couldn't stand Saban and his Hitler like demeanor.

I'm most interested in watching the WR's. Unlike some people, I don't believe Bess is a lock to make the roster. He's been impressive in practice but he didn't do much in game to earn his depth chart promotion. But is the coaching staff willing to take a risk that he'll make it to the practice squad?

Wilford has disappointed but I still don't believe he'll get cut, unless someone unexpected ends up being available. I still think he will become our goto guy in the red zone and I think his experience will be more valuable with a veteran QB like Pennington as our likely starter.

Armstrong could be a dark horse, if you believe the recent praise he's been receiving from the coaching staff.

Camarillo, like Hagan, is entering his 3rd season and I think he's at the point were he needs to start producing and cant get by as much on potential.

I'm somewhat surprised Foster is still on the roster. It appears he hasn't done much in practice to distinguish himself but it seems that the organization sees something they like. He certainly can be a Dave Megget type player but I don't think he makes the roster unless he shows he can contribute in some fashion this season. Probably makes the practice squad if he doesn't get claimed.

And I wouldn't be totally surprised, depending on who gets cut, to see one or two new receivers on the final roster.
