I just saw on the Dolphins Official website that the players weights have been updated and there's some interesting numbers. For example, Derek Hagan has bulked up to 215 pounds. Soliai is a toad at 355 pounds and Vernon Carey is 350!!!! WOW!!

Vernon Carey at 350? Yikes. He definitely should not be that high. He is better off being around 330-335.

Jake Long is 5 pounds lighter (310) then originally advertised. Samson Satele added about 10 pounds from last year.

If the weight of 230 pounds for Ricky is correct, then he is back into his 2002 and 2003 body. I believe he was around like 215-220 when he made his comeback in 2005.

Look at Kelvin Smith. He was a small linebacker last year at around 230 pounds, but now he balked up into more the mold of a 3-4 linebacker at 240 pounds.

I thought Roth had bulked up, but I guess he's still at 275. Merling got big at 290. There's no way he plays OLB now. Rodrique gained 10 pounds, too. And Starks and Ferguson are each about 10 pounds lighter than expected. I think we drafted one too many DEs. Our dline is so stacked with Merling, Roth, Holliday, Ferguson, Starks, Wright, Dotson, Soliai, and Langford. There's no way we keep 9 dlineman this year. I think Dotson and someone else is on their way out. Maybe the practice squad for Dotson. Jason Allen dropped about 10 pounds also. Should be very helpful in coverage.

They'll all lose some weight by the time the real games start.

Wow Carey at 350lbs. We are gonna have some road graders blocking up there for Ricky and Ronnie. Dual 1000yd rushers anyone?

People are gonna come into the season and play us and sorta shrugg us off, but when we can run down there throats behind a beast of a line we can sneak our way to a lot of victories. People forget that we won like this back in 02 and 03, add a better line and another great back and we have ourselves a dominating Running game.

People put way to much stock in these stats. Guys need to take these things with a grain of salt. Just because it is posted on the internet doesnt mean they are the gospel truth.

Well, it is posted on the OFFICIAL Dolphins website, so they are likely pretty accurate. These are probably their weights from last weekend's mini camp.

Carey at 350? holy crap. We are definately going to be a running team without a doubt. I know thats a "duh" comment but I do think we are going to have some steller line play this year. Whens the last time we could say that?

I'm disappointed that Merling hasn't lost the weight he put on as he was recovering from the hernia surgery.

Soliai's weight is being overblown. The guy was one of the most athletic DLs at the Combine at 345 pounds. He's 10 pounds over that. He probably loses 4 pounds just when he takes a crap, and another 6 pounds when he practices in the heat. For a 6'4" nose tackle, 355 is not that big a deal. Wilfork regularly weighs close to that and he's much shorter than Paul.

They have to be from recent weigh-ins or the official site wouldn't have changed the weights. I agree it's probably from the weigh-ins at the last minicamp

Nublar, Ricky was actually 238-240 in the 2002 season. He was 250-252 in New Orleans before he came here.
But you are correct about the 2005 season.
Just thought I'd clear that up.

Looks like Ricky and Ronnie are both at the same weight right now...although Ronnie is 2 inches taller than Ricky.
