Players who performed better than you thought they would in 2013

Dont forget that Odrick beasted, especially in the first half of the year.

2nd half, Clabo turned it around and played much better than his terrible first half. Nobody saw that coming.

With all of these overachievers, we should have made the playoffs.

Just because they played "better than expected", doesn't make them "stars"....or this team any good. Also, i disagree with many of the players mentioned. I think many underachieved....Like Miller.

OV, clay, Gibson, Carroll, Patterson (when he was actually on the field)
underachievers- Ellerbe, the oline, and wheeler ( just cut his ass already), Jones

All on the list are worthy but Nolan Carroll is the big improver of the year.

And like Lauren, I'm getting sick of seeing Ryan Tannehill picking his nose on this website. Stay classy RT17

which then means you think danny is full of crap.

I would add Bryant Mckinnie. After his injury probs in Baltimore and Martin Incog, he surprised me. I thought our season was in the crapper for sure.

I would have added Sam Brenner had he not screwed the pooch vs. Buffalo.

I think you got it right. And i loved the play of clay and grimes..

Maybe this will surprise, but I wanna see more of Egnew. He seemed like a completely different player. I'd like to see, especially, more of him at FB. He creates matchup nightmares for defenses if he can block enough when called upon, and his size, for a FB, should allow him to do that. For a guy we thought was a 'soft' TE, he could be a bruising FB with the ability to separate quickly when he's a receiving option.

It's funny, but when you go down our roster, there's a lot of good looking players.
I love guys like Marlon Moore and Don Jones but they do need to take a step forward at their actual DB-WR positions, respectively.

I'd like to see if Jelani Jenkins can take a step forward, but Trusnik needs to hit the bricks. He can carry Wheeler's bags out the door.

Also, I'm not as 'in-love' with Sam Brenner as others. His power doesn't seem impressive.
We are really bereft of O-line talent. Pouncey should be moved to guard so then we need a center, and we need 3 more quality tackles, at Least.

Also, we probably need at least 2 more upgrades at defensive back. Clemons is 'meh' and Jamar TAylor might never play more than 9 games. Those sports hernias are brutal.
Also, we need another good pass-rusher. Jordan is a coverage LB, it seems, and Vernon gets 'coverage sacks'. Wake isn't getting younger or cheaper.

did someone mention miller as exceeding expectations? which others that have been mentioned do you think underachieved?

Yes sir - you are correct. However, you're the one who lives in Crapchester so you may be the subject matter expert.
BTW keep warm up there. I hear the forecast is bleak. - Like Hayden, have you ever considered the benefits of moving to South Florida, you don't have to freeze your nuts off up there, surrounded by Jets/Bills/Pats fans. You could be wearing shorts and t-shirt among kindred spirits...

Imagine the 4 WR sets next year with Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, and Matthews. With Clay as the TE. Thats pretty potent
