Guys, this is the first game I am missing (watching) by choice in about 20 years. I am going to help my eventual father in law who recently had surgery with around the house tasks. I have mailed it in this season and sadly we as a fan base are rebuilding in our heads every season, but our team never does actually complete a full on successful rebuild.

With that said, this is who I am keeping : Howard, Fitzpatrick, Drake, Stills, Wilson, Grant, Gesicki ( for the love of god hit the weight room), Godchaux, Taylor, Baker, Tunsil. Everyone else I actually do not care what happens. God we are thin.

What I wanted to ask is your opinion of players you want to keep since we are in an inevitable rebuild.

Why does everyone want to get rid of Kiko? He's a freaken solid LB.

Also, you missed Jones there- huge oversight.

Call me sentimental but I've personally fallen in love with O'Leary. I'd like to see him stick. Guy's a player.

Oh, and if Gore can still get you 4.6 yards per carry, I keep the old man too just reverse the rolls- more Drake.

I’m going to add Davis. He’s not grading out well at RG, but I believe he’s being played out of position. I think he would be better at RT. There’s more meat on that bone.

I also keep O’Leary. Every team needs players that are consistently solid.

Plus Reshad Jones, J James (yeah, he’s pretty good after all), Jessie Davis, Nick O’Leary, John Denney, Jason Sanders, Kiko, McMillan (have to give him another year on his rookie contract - doesn’t mean he’ll start), Gore (but as a role player not feature back), Amendola to do his thing, Hayes (if he can recover), Wake (situational PR), possibly Quinn (let’s see how he finishes out the season).

This narrative has to go. Kiko is NOT a solid linebacker and he is NOT having a good season.

Kiko flashes bro, problem is Burke tries making something he's not. They need to play him to his strengths rather than his weaknesses, like COVERAGE!

I'm not saying he cant be upgraded, but he also isnt costing us a boatload of money. Until we have 3 LBers that are clearly better than Kiko, he stays imo.

I didn’t miss Kiko and Reshad. Reshad was my favorite player but he is not going to be young if/ when our rebuild is complete. He is going to be a slow in the box safety, which is pretty much what he is now. Additionally, if we had good linebackers no one would ever mention Kikos name here again.

Quinn(hope he reverts back to form)Taylor,DG,Baker,RM(hope he'll get better),Howard and Minkah on defense

Drake,Gore(if he wants back), Tunsil,Davis, Wilson, Amendola, Stills, Grant and Gesicki

I'm sick and tired of counting on older players that are hurt so I'd let go of Wake, Hayes(they're both free agents tho) I don't believe Jones is as good as so many people here think. He's not a good cover safety and can't tackle on the open field. He's good in the box and that's about it. He is a leader back there tho so I'll give him that.
I know we're going to keep more players than those of course and it's not up to us anyway.

This forum needs to be avoided sometimes so as to avoid depression.

Kiko is 2nd in the league in tackles and has 2 ints and that’s not AT LEAST solid?

Some are gluttons for punishment. Lots of EMO wear round here steep in sadism.

Wish I could buy y’all a beer.

AMAZING how few people see the reality of team sports. Some seem to think there are All-Pros and 'trash' with nothing in the middle. Even the top teams have a LOT of players who COULD be upgraded, but they prioritize. KA could start for quite a few teams. Personally, I'd like to see a thread breaking players into groups . . . say, top quartile, average, bottom quartile, developing. The answers to that question would reveal who is in touch with reality and who is just venting/agenda-driven.

I'm searching for Alonso's run stop percentage for this season because it always appears, to me at least, that many of Alonso's tackles are 5-6 yards past the LOS. The following thumbnail is PFF data from 2017. If you have his data for this season, please share. He's dead last here, do there's no where to go but up.
