I get the feeling that Gase is terrified of Tannehill getting injured. At the same time it seems to me that Tannehill is terrified to make a mistake. This is leading to tight, uninspired play which leads to mistakes and injuries. The team is playing scared imo.

BTW-Haasan Reddick has worn out his welcome with I believe it's Arizona. Seems he can't learn the playbook, he's been a healthy scratch. A lot of people loved this kid coming out.

You do realize that he calls designed runs for tannehill. I do think this team plays uninspired football, always seem flat, slow to make adjustments. It's been this way for years.

Don’t agree with your post’s main point, but I’d be interested in seeing what’s up with reddick

People talk (correctly) about, talent, scheme, and fit, but, IMO, equal to those is almost ALWAYS coming out flat. Apparently uninspired. The HC who solves that will win the hearts of fans

Gase's biggest failure this season is the lack of a running game and not letting Drake be to the point of where he should be.

We have Drake who was ready to let loose week one and Perry in the 3rd spot and Ballage as of late. and all's I've seen is Frank Gore.

Come on Gase get your head out of your arse and get your :poop together.

The offense is bizarre. I’ve stopped trying to analyze what’s wrong with it. Three years of not being able to get a first down or a 1Q TD. Different QBs. IDK.

What’s wrong with the offense is that no matter what scheme or personnel we're playing we pretty much run the exact same offense or concept. WR screens, quick timing passes and misdirectional inside runs to set up the jet sweeps, deep shots and gimmick plays. In the game last week I saw zero adjustments to an already flawed game plan. Not sure why we couldn’t implement more outside stretch runs versus a slower front seven, or why Tannehill wouldn’t just take off running when they were constantly dropping 7 into coverage and all the passing windows were shut in the short to intermediate routes.
Seriously, last week was the game to get the jet sweeps going early and keep them running sideline to sideline to open up the running and passing lanes. The fact that Gase not only didn’t see that, but also had no answer for them selling out against the short passing game, is what has me concerned about his game planning and management.

It always seems to me like Gase is trying to show to other team certain looks to set them up for a kill shot later. I'm behind that 100% but you've got to make first downs and get that time of possession flipped. We have won games where the TOP for our offense was like 24 minutes but that's not a recipe for future success. We have to come out and show that the Patriot game was an aberration. We will go as far as Tannehill can take us and right now I still see some rust on him. Big game today!

I’m surprised (or maybe I shouldn’t be) that people assume this -or any coaching staff- is stupid enough to NOT realize we need the running game. Of course they realize it. You don’t make it to this level without being a cut above. That being said you can’t establish a run game if you don’t have a functional offensive line. That’s where our real struggles lie. You want to see more of a running game? Start by having more than 40 plays per game. Start by having less than 2nd and 15 or 3rd and 12. Start by actually leading in time of possession.
I’m not saying Gase is free from blame. As a matter of fact, I think he’s honestly struggling to adjust to our offensive losses in particular, Parker and Sitton being chief among them (and Parker may not be on IR, but he may as well be). His lack of having a proactive game plan drives me insane. Everyone should be able to criticize this team and the dreggs of hell they’ve drug us through since Marino. But do it with better comments than “Gase is an idiot for not giving Drake the ball more” and the like. It runs deeper than that. Just my opinion.

Well said. Big plays are great, but we can’t live and die by them and expect to stay in games. We have to be a team that can consistently set up 2nd or 3rd and shorts, and then we have to be a team that can be relied on to get the first downs in those situations. All the big plays in the world won’t make up for it if you can’t consistently get the yards you need when you need them.

The Patriots game was the only game of the season where i thought the team, the coaching staff, the waterboy, everyone looked scared.

This God-complex they've bestowed on the Patriots is sickening.

It's hard to say for sure but I think the answer is fairly simple. An average QB with a below average OL. You can't have a good offense with that.
