Playoff Machine - it's not all doom and gloom....

Obviously it goes without saying that yesterday was a huge loss - I thought that was the biggest game of the year given where the Fish sat. That said if you look at the playoff scenarios there are a ton of ways the Fish still get in even with a loss to the Pats next week. A lot of them aren't that far fetched at all - way less far fetched than I originally thought. I was thinking Pitt would need to lose to Atl next week - not true. Pitt and Cinn play week 17 - that's a big game depending on what happens leading up to it. The Chargers are a big key though and they have 3 tough games coming up starting w/ Den next week.

This is not true. There is a reasonable scenario that we get in at 9-7, but I think that loss CAN NOT come to Minnesota.

After yesterday's loss, possibly the biggest game for us (besides our own) is the Ravens/Browns game in the last week of the season.

Done with this kinda stuff! A real team doesn't count on this scenario and that scenario blah blah blah. They go out and win games, kick the butts they're suppose too and thats that. They make their own way.

These Dolphins need to stay their butts home.

I am starting to feel this way also. This season has turned into what could have been with all of our injuries mounting up. That 37-0 beatdown of San Diego seems so long ago...

I just can't help to think what if Albert, Finegan, Moreno, Delmas, Ellerbe, and Taylor never got hurt...

This board is just priceless. At what point do people get their head out of their bott and see these are the same old Dolphins? So sick of hoping for 7 other teams to lose in order for us to have a shot at the last playoff spot just to see us lay an egg in our own game.

That's funny - I will never understand this point of view - and what benefit does not making the playoffs have? 3 spots higher in the draft? That's laughable - why would you root for a team that you aren't sure that you would want them to make the playoffs? I never get pessimism and defeatism....but then again I'm glad I don't - I understand realism - that's drastically different - but that's what makes America great - we can all have our own opinion:)

I don't smell anything to foul so I think I'm good. That said at what point do you give up....I'd much rather feel there's a chance until there isn't than give up - but then again I guess that's society's mentality - I'd much rather be in the minority here - have fun w/ being pissed and frustrated - that will get you far in life:)

Well I've looked at the scenarios, and none are really reasonable at 9-7.

Damn man you guys gotta stop allowing the Lolphins to get into your head and allow them to make you believe there is still a chance we get into the playoffs. I'm sorry but there is no way we get into the playoffs this year. The sooner you see and accept this the less hurt you will be when we are finally mathematically eliminated over the next 3 weeks. The season was lost yesterday.

My life is fine thank you. I love the dolphins but it's still just football. God it's first in my life then family and I'm blessed with both. If by life you mean football well I'm sure some people think football is first. You want to buy into this team then fine but untill they actually prove they're different which they haven't so far then they're the same old Dolphins to me. I hope they prove me wrong but winning a couple of games now won't do that.
