so who needs to lose and how much do we need to win to go ?
 
we win our next 3 (SD, Jets, Ten)... pats lose 2 of their next 3 (@Buf, TB, Jets)... then the matchup the last game of the season us against them would be for the playoff spot... so basically we win out, pats lose 3 of 4... tough but it could happen...
 
At some point, NE has to start losing games for us to have a shot in h@ll. Meanwhile, we have to keep winning. It ain't impossible.....but it ain't easy either.
 
Losing 6 out of 7 didn't exactly help us. All we can do is just keep winning. We are not out of it yet.
 
Buffalo could beat New England after that debacle yesterday. They will be fighting for jobs cus Donohoe and Mularky wont want theres to have to take a hike.

Exactly, any Patriots win vs an AFC East team combined with any Dolphins loss will clinch the division for the Patriots.

In other words, if the Patriots beat the Bills and the Chargers beat the Dolphins, the AFC East race is over.
 
damn NE could lose to Buff and Tampa, but i dont know about back to back loses.

We could easly win the rest of the games before the showdown against NE.

The only bad thing is that we probably end up losing the playoff berth by one game and get a low draft pick also

What if the Dolphins lose to San Diego OR Tennessee and then win out, and the Pats beat the Bucs but lose the rest of the games.

Could a 7-8 Dolphins catch an 8-7 Pats in the finale that scenario?
 
I would love to have a shot at the Colts in the playoffs, I know that is a long shot but wouldnt it be great if they went undefeated and we beat them to end it all. Ok sorry guys Im awake now what were we talking about?
 
no cuz the pats would ahve all the tie breakers.... Losing to them 3 weeks ago really hurt us.
 
I think new england can lose agaisnt Buffalo, and Tampa

but if they win one of the two, they we leave it up to the jets, and thats not something I want to do

We need to win out, which except the chargers shouldnt be all that hard if they play right

if they both finish 8-8

it works like this

If the pats lose to the jets and bills they have a division record of 3-3

We could also have a division record of 3-3 in that scenario

so its still possible
