You can plug in what you will think will happen over the last 5 weeks.

I tried several scenarios and found the following.

Odds are not very good to make playoffs with 10-6 record. We need to make it to 11-5 to beat out Denver. Don't see them being worse than 10-6 and they beat us on tiebreakers at season end if we are both 10-6. This game against Baltimore this week is huge. If we don't win this week we will likely need to win the final 4 games to qualify for playoffs.

Give it try....

Thanks for the tip on the Predictor. I think there is a decent possibility Denver doesn't make it to 10-6. They have a tougher schedule the last 4 weeks than we do. @ 6-6 Tennessee, @ 8-3 Kansas City, and both of 9-2 Oakland and New England at home. That's a pretty tough road to hoe. I relaly like our chances IF we can get by Baltimore this weekend. This very well might come down to having to beat New England at home the last week of the year.

This Baltimore game is HUGE!!! Beat them and it's an almost gaurantee we have the mental makeup to at list slit games the rest of the way. Lose to them and it becomes a real dog fight.

I made it so the AFC went

1. Raiders
2. NE
3. Pittsburgh
4. Tenn
5. KC
6. Denver

BUT... I have Miami losing to Buffalo then to NE and finishing 10-6. If I change the Buffalo win to Miami, we go into 6th seed. Then IF i change the NE win to Miami, we jump to the 2nd seed at 12-4 and NE drops to 5 seed. I love this thing.

So I have a realistic scenario where we lose to the Ravens and still get in at 10-6.

Broncos finish 9-7 with losses to vs NE, @ KC, and vs OAK. Obviously if the Broncos win any of those games, and they jump ahead of us. (Assuming of course they win @Jax and @Titans (back to back road game coming east against a tough Titans wont be an easy task)

Also, if the Fins and the Broncos both finish 10-6 but one of our losses is vs. AZ, that non-conference loss doesn't hurt us too bad, and we would get in over the Broncos.

I actually read that this Ravens game has a 20% swing of probability of us making the playoffs based on our W/L in this one.

crazy to think there is a path still to get the number 1 seed. hahaha

If we win the next 4, Patriots lose to Denver, week 17 is for AFC East and first round bye. How incredible it is that we are here after the way we started?

There's also a possibility that KC misses the playoffs (obviously, less likely)... KC losses vs OAK, vs DEN, @ SD - They also play vs TEN and @ ATL (non conference loss here wont hurt as much)

Just gotta keep winning...doubt we're going to get much help. Feels like one of those years where every game you need just goes the other way.

The AFC games are crucial wins, the Arizona game isn't.
Anything else we need help.
That is the scenario that gets us into the playoffs.

I had my co worker do it and he came up with us playing NE week 17. Winner gets 2nd seed, loser 6th seed. That would be an intense game!

I did a scenario where they went 9-7 and still made the playoffs, I guess that's why I'm not doing too well in my pick em this year.
