Imo this is whats going to happen. I think Pitt and Cincy are locks. San Diego will win the west. The Colts are a lock.
And the Pats are a lock. Unfortunately I think we need to assume that.
That leaves us fighting for the last wildcard.
We are playing the Jags and Texans so we control our destiny in that sense.
I have never been sold on Denver from the start and I think they are going to implode.
That leaves the Ravens who I think is our main threat.
And they still have to play Pitt twice.
For us, I think the games vs Jax and Hou are huge.
I still can't believe we have never beat Houston? It's a damn hex and we can't overlook it.
But I like our chance a lot now. What do you guys think?

No one is a lock, especially the Steelers. Losing to KC shows the depth of injuries and unstable play they are getting from their defense and special teams units.

Initially I thought it would take 11 wins to get a Wildcard but it is looking more like 10 and if so, I think we have a decent shot at winning 5-6. It will be tough because we have the Pats, Steelers and Texans, but all these games are at home.

I say just win from week to week and good things will happen. This seemed to work for us last season. Don't count on the other teams, just win.

The Broncos will be our biggest problem for the last wildcard spot. They will likely own the tiebreaker over us at the level of common opponents. (At 10-6 we'll probably have the same conference record)

Next week the only 2 teams that can lock themselves in are the COLTS with a win over the TEXANS and a Jaguars loss to the 49ers. But if the (COLTS) lose or the Jaguars win they do not clinch and try again WEEK 13. For the SAINTS a win over Pathetics and a Falcons loss to the Bucs willl clinch a spot in the playoffs. But if they lose, and the Falcons win then they have to wait till WEEK 13 as well. These are facts.

Here is an awesome website for guidance: www.playoffstatus.com

After Buffalo the rest of our schedule is extremely tough.

Patriots, @ Jags, @ Titans, Texans, and Steelers.

All those teams, with the exception of the Titans, will be fighting for a playoff spot. During this stretch Henne needs to play his best.

i dont think the Steelers are a lock i dont think they are even going to make the playoffs IMO

If we go 4-2 and finish 9-7, I think we have little shot of making it.....I think a 5-1 finish will get us in. I think the Patriots, San Diego and Indy will win their divisions.

I think Cincy will finish 10-6.....they have three tough opponents and three relatively easy ones but I think they will win the division. Pittsburgh has a tougher schedule including two against Baltimore. I think the Steelers will finish 9-7. Baltimore has the easiest schedule left in their division and should either finish 10-6 or 9-7. I see Jacksonville finishing 9-7. I think we have to beat the Jags and the Steelers to make the playoffs. If we win 5 out of 6 we should be in....4 out of 6, we would need lots of help.

the steelers without troy p are not the same defense, and we have to take it one game at a time, i think that's the saying

There's a long way to go, so this is all hypothetical, but I found this which is interesting to play with;

The way my scenario worked out, if we beat Pittsburgh in the final week of the season, we earn a trip to NE as the final wildcard.

Here's how mine worked out;

1. Indy 16-0
2. San Diego 13-3
3. New England 12-4
4. Cincinnati 10-6
5. Denver 10-6
6. Miami 10-6

The team that need to lose is the which holds the same record as the fins, which is baltimore 5-5, the dolphins need to beat Bluffalo just to get into the conversation,

The fins control their own destiny because they play the teams in front of them, houston, jacksonville, pittsburgh, and the patriot.

i had us playing at san diego in a wildcard mathup

We got to worry about the bills this week. We could of easily lost the panthers, or bucs game. We haven't gotten that good yet. I'm worried about every team on our schedule. We could easily lose the titans,bills or jags game. I like everyones confidence though. Go phins
