Playoff Scenarios (Only if we beat NE in MIA)

Let's say Miami beats Buf and NE. That puts us at 7-5.
Also, assume that every other AFC team wins their games and the teams that should win their games, win...

So we got Jax. I say we win this and we go 8-5.
NE wins.

Let's say we lose to Ten. We're 9-5.
NE wins.

Let's say we lose to Houston. So 9-6.
NE wins.

Let's say we beat the Steelers. 9-7.
NE wins.

We don't make the playoffs.

OR

We lose to Jax.

We beat Ten.

We beat Houston.

We lose to Steelers.

That puts us at the #6 seed and playing the Pats in NE.

OR

We beat Jax.

We beat Ten.

We lose to Houston.

We lose to Pit.

We're at the #5 spot playing Cincy on the road.

OR MY SCENARIO....

We beat Jax.

We beat Ten.

We lose to Houston.

We beat the Steelers.

That puts us at 10-6, playing Cincy on the road at the #5 spot.

So if we beat the Pats, we're almost guaranteed a playoff spot because I don't see us losing more than 2 games. :hi5:


If we win out, we win the division. NE makes the playoffs no matter what happens.
Losing to Jax, automatically eliminates us from the playoffs unless Jax or Balt (assuming they beat the Steelers next week) loses twice.

As long as we beat Buf and NE, we make the playoffs IMO. I don't see us going 8-8.

I wouldnt count on it. J-ville has been winning ugly, but winning nonetheless. They are fighting for a playoff spot too.
Tenn has finally righted their ship and have won 4 straight and we play them in Tenn.
The Phins have NEVER beaten the Texans and they are also in the playoff hunt.
These are basically wildcard games with all the associated ramifications.

I was optimistic a few weeks ago, but now I look at the remaining schedule and except for Buffalo this weekend, I can think of scenarios where we could easily win or lose any or all of our reamaining games.

How do they beat Jax and go to 8-5 then lose to the Titans and go to 9-5?
 
So you have us beating Tennessee on the road, then following that performance up with a loss AT HOME to Houston.

Come on man. I dont know if you noticed, but Tennessee is one of the best teams in the league right now. If we can beat them on the road I dont see Houston at home as a bigger threat. Get real. At Tennessee is probably the 2nd toughest game left on our schedule behind the Pats.

Cant we just wait till AFTER we play the Pats game, when the picture of what we need will be so much clearer. If we lose to the Pats, run for the Wildcard. If we beat the Pats, division title is the mission. Either way, the playoff picture will be so much more clear. A lot will happen in the next two weeks with the other 5 or 6 teams in the mix as well.
 
Lets beat the patsies before we worry about all this... WIN YOUR GAMES DONT WORRY ABOUT THE REST... WE STIILL ARE IN THIS POSITION, BARLEY THOUGH
 
With six games to go, there are just way too many things that can happen yet. Let's take it one week at a time and see what happens.
 
Teams shouldn't look ahead, but we're the fans, so we can. Us looking ahead has 0 effect on this team, so I don't see why everyone is saying that.
