Hey guys remember just a few years back when a 10-6 record in the AFC and you belonged to the AFC East could not get you in to the playoffs? Now it seems that not only will a 10-6 record get an AFC East Team into the playoffs but realistically that record can win you the division....who know even 9-6 might do it.................

Let's look at this realistically, we are 3-5, NE is 4-4, we play NE next week I beleive it's at home.......... You know our guys are going to be pumped for this game so will NE obviously after tonights a** kicking courtesy of Ind (by the way thx Colts).... But NE is a banged up team, we have been playing sloppy but have pretty much been in every game and blown it in some way. If we come out and execute we will take NE.

I also think that against Atl we used our blitz packages at the wrong times (3rd and <5 yds to go for Atl) vs. most teams a blitz on 3rd is effective but with Vick and that sick TE receiver he has forget about it.........

For those of you that say, Saban needs to go back to college and that Saban is coaching scared, I say B/S.......... !!!!!!!!!! This Miami Dolphin team though we are 3-5 are playing there butts off out there.......our problem (and I'm not breaking news here!) is execution (BIG part is the players we have on this team) Give it time doubters, we'll be fine....Personally I'm very pleased with what Saban has done !!!

Last note: I'm convinced that the referees are looking for sh*t to throw penalties flags vs. Mia...... I've never seen anything like this before it's horse doo doo............. Yeah the late hit penalty on Crowder hitting Vick was horrible poor Vick, what would the NFL do w/o Michael around this year, he's too protected........but the obvious late hit on Welker was fine, c'mon ref's you've got to be sh*tting me (Damn I'm going to get fined by the NFL now......)

Correction in my first paragraph, instead of saying a 9-6 just might do it I meant 9-7............ Sorry

not with crappy gus as our QB.

he is horrible. sage has to be better than that bum.

i hope he tears a muscle or his knee up in practice this week.

Sure he's crappy, but you don't go wishing injury on a player especially when he's on our team. I'm sorry, but that's just plain wrong. :shakeno:

Besides, what actual proof do you have that Sage would be better than Gus? And do NOT bring up that one long bomb to Chambers earlier this season. There's nothing we can do about our QBs this season. We have to live with that and let Saban make the decision on this one.

If we become officially eliminated from playoff contention, THEN we give Sage or Lemon a chance. By then, we'd have nothing to lose. We have to stick to the guy who gives us the best chance to win based on knowledge of the system and experience. Unfortunately, that happens to be Gus at this point. :(

Besides, we don't NEED Gus to win games for us. Our ground game is what'll put W's on the board for the rest of this season. It'll be our coaching staff responsiblity (Linehan's primarily) to call the plays to utilize our team's strength. Therefore, it will or SHOULD be our runningbacks' responsiblity, not a QBs, to deliver the wins for the Dolphins.

Here is the remaining games for our DIV: (* denotes a HOME game)

NE MIA BUF NYJ

MIA NE* KC* CAR
NO CLE SD DEN
KC OAK CAR* NO*
NYJ* BUF* MIA NE
BUF SD NE* OAK*
TB* NYJ* DEN* MIA
NYJ TEN* CIN NE*
MIA* NE NYJ BUF*

Point is: given the NYJ and BUFs opponents, they are not likely candidates to win the division [read they will each lose at least 3 more games]

NE & MIA each have 1 true 'tough' game against a playoff contender [KC & SD respectively] .... NE isn't good enough to close out 7-1 this year .... neither is MIA ...

MIA is likely to go 5-3 and finish .500 IF we can find some consistency AND we MUST go 3-1 over the next 4 weeks.

NE is likely to close out 5-3 as well, leaving them 9-7 and DIV Champs.

Bottom Line on this .... to win the division - we really have to beat NE BOTH times ... so if we lose this weekend -- FORGET ABOUT IT ....

Regardless, we don't belong in the playoffs and finishing 8-8 would greatly affect our draft [that comment is ignorant I know ..... however, we are NOT 1 or 2 pieces away from a Super Bowl run next year]

Playoffs.....not this year.

I seem to recall there was one year some time ago when the entire AFC East was 5-5 10 games into the season. Anyone remember what happened that year and what year it was?

we will be lucky to get 6 wins.
maybe playoffs next year.
depending on our signal caller.
depending on our poor secondary.
depending on an aging defense thats already past its prime.
depending on getting a true #1 wr (sorry CC, u not the one)
all imo.

why do you think we can be better than 4- 12.
the way the Pats played last knight they'll beat us no problem.
Brady will have a field day with our secondary.

Are you really a Miami fan??? We WILL be better than 4-12, I'd be willing to bet any amount of money on it. Oh, and by the way........ The Pats did not play that well last night. The Colts Offense ripped through them like they were wet toilet paper. Yes it was the "Colts" offense, but other teams have been doing it this year as well.

Run the ball down the pats throat.... 70% run, 30% pass, why cant we do what the steelers do, and they have like a QB thats 50 times better than Gus in Big Ben...

8-8 if we win the games we should and steal one that we shouldn't.
We should be able to beat Cleve, Tenn, Buff and NYJ. If all the planets come into alignment we might be able to steal a game from the Pats or the game at Oak. Anything above that and I'd be estatic and we might have a chance to sneak into the playoffs, but realistically, at 3-5 , we have no business talking about playoffs. We (the Fins) should be talking about how we are going to beat the Patsies this Sunday.

If And When We Correct Our Own Mistakes We Can Play With The Best Teams In The League.......... 9-7 Will Get Us In The Playoffs This Year.
