according to nfl.com they have a list of teams that almost made the playoffs they did not even mention Miami. They said Detroit ,Pittsburgh, Arizona and Raven's should make it next year. Not one mention of Miami. I can't blame them Ireland has made this team is a laughing stock. Ross is a clown this team is going down not up.

I think that they struggle next year based on the match ups on the sked, some growing teams in the AFC and the current people running the Dolphins.

nobody knows about which way it goes. hell, we could land bob macadoo and he ends up being the next HC of some team because he makes Tannehill a star!

ok low probabilty....but I like to dream. Im a dreamer.

I think the whole world saw our last 2 games and turned away in disgust just like we did...lol.

A collapse like we had, against a bad team (s), means that something significant has to be fixed in Miami, before they can project anything. Next year, we can expect to start exactly like we left off, barring improvements. So, we will make those improvements. Job one is the running game.

We won't make playoffs with philbin. Next season will be a lost season with him still here

Must be nice to know the future a year from now. What's worse is you're bothered by it. Miami hasn't made it in the postseason for. 5 years now. It's as likely that trend continues as ever.

I'd love to see Miami with a strong running game. But, it will never happen with Phlbin and Ireland. Philbin cut the "true" FB position (Clay doesn't count as a FB), and uses the short pass in place of the run. To him, the running game is an afterthought... he will never change his system. His team can't even convert on 3rd and inches yet he doesn't seem to care. Ireland trades up for a RB with fumbling issues (Thomas) and sees Miller as starting material. Both of them are bad at blocking. I've seen back-up RBs on other teams that are better than these guys.

we wont make it with new everything either. It will take another two years IMO at least.

Exactly...I mean how far did Kansas City get with their new coach this year? What about 2 years ago when Harbaugh took over in San Francisco? Chip Kelly, John Harbaugh with the Ravens, Chuck Pagano with Indy last year...I mean new coach mean first year disaster. Even Sparano's first year here we were only 11-5 and went to the playoffs....terrible.

I think its clear based on the 49ers and chiefs that a good coach can win his 1st year.

Someone pass finfan54 a towel. His mouth is bleeding.

We keep Ireland and Philbin there's no way in hell we make the playoffs. ZERO chance. That last wildcard which we failed to get was as easy a way in as I've ever seen. I hate these lame duck years we seem to go through every time we keep a failed regime in place for too long and that's exactly what we're looking at next year.
