I have been posting all week long how ridicuolus all these post for playoffs scenarios were. All the scenarios posted here had the same problem, their assumptions! I dont have a problem with Miami winning out, but expecting that all the other playoff contenders lose just the right amount of game is and will always be absurd. So with that said Cincy won last night and things are getting slimmer.

I hope I'm wrong, but no way I see us winning out, the only way we could get into the playoffs. Not the way our offense is playing so poorly.

the only reason our offense is playing poorly is because of Hsrrington has this guy gone a game without throwing a pick we would be better of with a banged up cpep

Yes, he has.....the KC game.

Dolphins' record with Culpepper = 1-3, all 4 games against teams with losing records.

Dolphins' record with Harrington = 4-3, with 4 games against teams with winning records.

I'm not saying the record is due completely to Harrington, because obviously it's not. But the offense was terrible with Culpepper in there. Let's just wait to see him when he's healthy next year.

It gets a bit discouraging when you see that we never get any help. A Bengals loss would have been nice but noooooo, of course they have to beat the 8-2 Ravens. Over the past couple weeks, out of 10 games that would have eventual impact over our playoff chances, 2 went our way. One of those two games was the Bills/Jags last week where one of them HAD to lose......so there was no choice we would benefit from that game.
I still have the faith the faith though, that if we win out, other teams will fall one by one and allow us to slip into that 6th and final spot. So I guess I'll just focus on our team. that's heart breaking enough, let alone following 7 others!!!

The chemistry the team is playing with Harrington in gives us a chance.

What can hurt us is the 5 losses to AFC teams earlier in the year. We don't look good in any of the tie breakers. Saban has to understand how the tie breakers work to get to the playoffs. By going 1-6 hurt us real bad.

Isn't that the truth!!!

I think the easiest thing for us to root for is for us, Denver, KC to go 10-6 and concede Cincy to get the other spot. I can't see Cincy loosing 2 of there next 4 I think they will win at least 3 of those games. I've always heted teh Ravens and they screwed me again last night.

I can see Denver falling apart behind a rookie QB as they have some tough games and KC could lose 2 more, but they've been playing well.

I think most of us have known since about week 4 that any playoff scenarios including Miami are bleak, but it's still fun track it IMHO. As long as we're still looking at it and hoping we must be winning, becuase one more loss and BUB-BYE.

We shouldnt have lost to Houston and Green Bay. Who the heck cares about what any other NFL team did. We didnt take care of business so we deserve to miss out again

Yes we did lose to alot of AFC teams in the beginning of the season. But now we can come back and beat some of those AFC teams. We still have to play the Pats, the Bills and the Jets. plus other AFC teams. If we win out then we will have beaten everyone in our division. As they beat us at the beginning of the season. So it isn't over yet. We have the tie breaker with K.C. and some of the other AFC teams still have some tough games ahead of them. We just have to take it one game at a time and see what happens. If we win out then I do believe we will have a good chance for the Playoffs.

I agree. Let's hope the Jets lose two more to end the season 9-7 as well. They would lose to us and one other team. If the Jets go 10-6, then they win the tiebreaker over Miami with a better division record.

KC and Denver are no locks either, we only need KC to go 3-2,

Denver plays cinn so somebody is going to lose another game, if denver can lose to seattle this week and SD on the road they are gone, cinn plays at indy so we have a chance there, that game will tell us who to rout for in the denver game

right now its pretty simple.

if the broncos and bengals both finish 10-6 we are not going to the playoffs.
