Guys..I know it is taboo to talk about this at this time of year. You are what your record shows..but we should have won at least 3 games we lost this year.Also we started a dreadful 0-7 -__- We have a decent schedule on paper and a real offseason.sure philbin is a first timer and we don't know who the qb is right now..but when you look at this team as is,what a team like the 49ers did.why not us?we have a few holes but everyone does...but you still have the draft and free agency also.I don't know about you guys...but I'm gettin a different kind of vibe that I haven't felt as a young 24 year old fan in a long time.we may be a sub .500 team again or we may be in the playoffs watching our team,instead of hoping someone knocks out the pats for us.we are moving in the right direction.you can only hope this transfers to on the field..here's to the 2012-2013 Miami Dolphins.Just hope its our turn now
 
Can Miami make it next year? sure, in this league no matter how bad you are(and Miami wasn't that bad) you can always be a year away from the next playoff app but don't expect based on losing some games you should won. Every team has a few of those games.

If we get Manning with Marshall, Bush, Bess and hopefully no more COLOMBO then yes we have a chance!!!
 
We went from 1-15 to 11-5 and to the playoffs. Of course we can. Get a competant QB (i.e. Penny) and you always have a chance.
 
You never know. I definitely see a common theme though in terms of teams that surprise you and take it to the next level. I thought the Bengals were going to be the worst team in the league, and Andy Dalton plays out of his mind for a rookie. Lions don't make the playoffs without 5,000 yards from Matthew Stafford. 49ers defense improved, but Alex Smith was incredible. Giants looked decimated, but all of a sudden Eli takes the 'Eli'te jump. Broncos getting the most out of Tebow...

Hopefully. I think this is the first time we've had reason to be optimistic in a while. I still think the first step is to upgrade at QB though, and we'll have to wait and see what we do.
 
Anyone can make the playoffs. It's not like we're an awful team. It's a solid roster. If they can get a QB and a couple of pieces, there's no reason we shouldn't compete.
 
Right now I'm putting our chances of making the playoff in 2012 at about 65%. Without the draft of free agency, and with the new coaching staff. I'm uber excited about this staff! Can't wait to see what happens in the offseason! I sence some big signings!
