Last year it seemed way to often that Miami returners would run kickoffs out of the endzone and fail to reach the 20 or due to a penalty Miami would start inside the 10 yardline. I just read that in 2016 the NFL is considering having all touchbacks be brought out to the 25 yardline, if this is the case Miami could consistently start drives at the 25 and that would be a big upgrade over recent years and should really help the offense.

If the rule is passed I'm really looking forward to seeing Dolphins take a knee and get a decent starting position.

I wonder how many times we actually started at the 20 or worse, when bringing it out, compared to starting past the 20.

This was one of my main issues last year. I seemed like 65% of the time we started inside the 15 yard line.

Kickoffs are great, Landry is just greedy

Too many returns after catching the ball 8 or 9 yards deep. It seemed we needed a 28 yard return just to start at the 20. I never understood the logic, the reward vs the risk seemed very one sided.

Main reason was down on Williams, horrble deceision making to take it out of the endzone a bunch of times and we would get a penalty just about every time. Helped set up the safeties also.

He's the one people should be blaming for the safeties.

Just wait this year we will be 25+ average. There will be a legit burner on the 53.

You guys are being generous. It sure felt like 99% of the time we were fumbling, bumbling and stumbling around before finally reaching the 1-2 yard line - if we got to the 17 I was happy.

The league and their dumb rule changes. Why not just put the ball on the other team's 20 so every drive can start in the red zone? More scoring. Is it about this or is it a player safety thing?

Wont help if we continue to be a penalty machine. If the rule is get the ball at the 25 have a feeling were going to see even more touchbacks.

Gase will have this team in check. Regardless of what happens in FA and the draft, I'm still excited about our new HC! The rule is changing this year?

You're right I was being generous.

Good point. This was really annoying last year. Usually they got stopped inside the 10. If they actually did break anything decent there would be a penalty and we were backed up to the 5. Next play? Safety...

I actually don't think Gase will keep Landry on returns. And is Damien WIlliams even on the team? He shouldn't be. I believe we see KR and PR positions addressed. I know Griff Whalen is decent at retiurns and I think we may have signed another special teams guy.
