This will be a HUGE mistake!

Sure he's a great player and would probably fare well enough, BUT

- We have no proven QB to get him the ball

- No solid offensive line to give the passing game time

- No RB to take the pressure off the passing game

Basically, he'd be wasted talent. No QB, OL or RB to help out - a WR CAN'T do it on his own. Anquan Boldin was great, but Arizona still sucked in 2003. We're heading the same way if we draft Edwards.

you have to remeber that Great QB's have come out of the later rounds.....there is no point in taking alex smith, when there will be Cambell, Orton, Walters, Orlovsky, McPhersen, in the later rounds.

It all starts with the O-line and how they work together, which effects the whole offence. Thats why we got Houck. He will pull our O-line together then if we see any holes, we will adress them, and we already have... not to mention our 1st rounder is not our only pick in the draft.

How do u know that our OL wont be solid? We brought in Hudson Houck aka one of the top OL coaches in the league to fix this problem!

No one knows what Gordon is capable of and lets not forget that we did just picked up a 2nd rounder!

They come early and late.

If Smith falls to us and Saban thinks he is the best choice he will take him.

Exactly. It all starts with the Oline. The fact that Saban didn't upgrade the line sat all, really has me worried and disappointed. I'm not confident in Houck's abilities to coach that swiss cheese we're calling an oline. I really think we'll be in the same boat we were last season.

u are exactly right, like i posted here the other day, miami will make ahuge mistake drafting edwards becuase for right now there is noone that can throw him the ball....

yea i hope we are playen by sayen tht we are drafting him. i love the guy i just really think ronny brown is going to be a talent i would even be happy if we got caddie so right now im am hoping that we get the browns 3rd pick and their 2nd round for our 2nd pick.

Teams dont draft players as "trade bait". That happened last year with Eli because of a strange set of circumstances. If we draft a player then he is going to play for us.
