It seems like most fans on this site agree with me when I say not to draft Chad Henne. The guy had a good college career but he's not too accurate. He'll give you a a lot of yards thrown with the TOs to go along with it ala Jon Kitna. And he played at Michigan so you know the guy had major talent around him (Hart, Manningham, Long)...
Id much rather get Brohm who at this point last year was a top 15 talent! Doesnt make any sense...
Joe Flacco in my opinion is this years Jamarcus Russell, he has the look and he'll awe you with his insanely strong arm but thats where it ends.. the guy couldnt pass Tyler Palko on the depth chart at Pitt.Josh Johnson, the other D1AA QB in the draft had MUCH better stats than Flacco- same competition. Not to mention, most importantly, Joe Flacco came out of a SHOTGUN ran offense! The dreaded Shotgun ran offense is poison to college QBs looking to go pro.. most never seem to transition, and if they do, it takes a lot of time! Ironically, I've recently heard that QBs OVER 6'6 rarely make it in the NFL.

I think the Jags trade will eventually take place, maybe wont happen 'til draft day but I think Del Rio and Parcells come to an agreement-
Jags get JT, we get their 1st (26th overall) and sway 4th round picks

1A-Jake Long
1B-JTs replacement- Quentin Groves!!!! Harvey would be out of position if we tried him at OLB
2A-Curtis Lofton OR Brian Brohm (or perhaps trade DOWN with either Atlanta OR Baltimore-basically whoever loses out on the Matt Ryan sweepstakes in the 1st..Maybe they'd be willing to give a pick this year AND next years 1st?)
2B-Charles Godfrey/Tracy Porter-These are the last of the top corners and boy do we need one

This draft is going to be insane! Especially if we can trade JT (love the guy, but we need youth and he needs to go to a winning team!)

So if we trade JT for a late first round pick, please dont grab Henne!

i would rather take brohm over henne but think henne is a better prospect than any on our roster.

So you think Henne is better than Beck?!
Imagine if Beck was in this draft..
Beck, if nothing else, was known in last years draft as having amazing accuracy
Henne's major flaw, on the other hand, is his innaccuracy. He has trouble throwing under pressure.

its my opinion. Its amazing how much more accurate you can be with your Rb and TE as your top two receievers playing in a lesser conference. Henne played against alot of guys that are currently on NFL teams ands some more that you will see come draft day. He started 4 years at michigan thats an achievement in itself. beck did not exactly have a chance to distinguish himself under pressure being 1-7 versus ranked teams. im sure Henne faced more pressure every week than beck did throwing out of the the shotgun 24/7.

I don't know what it is but something just bothers me when I watch Henne throw the ball.

i would much rather have Brohm or Ryan but I think henne could be a stud, much rather take him than another project.

I like Henne. He has some toughness. He has a hell of a nice tight spiral. He has the ability to stand in the pocket and take it. He has some intangibles that do not get noticed. I like his straightforward approach.

I think this is why Parcells likes the kid. He played against top notch teams and did reasonably well. He would be well worth the 32 pick especially if we trade Taylor for a 1st.

I don't think Brohm is there at #32 but if he is I think we have to take him. For no other reason then being best player available.

as opposed to Beck who has trouble getting the snap? cmon. You can make arguments all day, but you have to back up what the hell it is your talking about. That is a statement that could be true for Dan Marino and Brett Farve for crying out loud. Any QB has trouble under pressure, thats why its trouble to start with. Sometimes you score, sometimes you dont, but Henne is tough. Dont try to belittle the guy with crap. He played for Michigan, not Delaware.

I tend to think if we trade Taylor for a 1st that he could be the reason why. We did inquire about him.

Why are people thinking about a QB? We have our QB of the future and is name is JOHN BECK!!! We have to many holes to fill!

I agree...and disagree. Henne does not thrill me at all....especially for a second rounder. I Brohm is there at #32 it would be very appealing...Flacco is not Jamarcus Russell! Russell is proving to be a "fat pig" with a "fat wallet"...he has a great arm but does a poor job of reading defenses and doesn't move well. Flacco is 6'5" and has a quick release...good pocket presence and moves well for a big guy...the only knock is playing at Delaware. If Flacco played at Florida, FSU, LSU, etc...he would be ranked higher than Matt Ryan and go top 10....no doubt. No knock against Beck, but the Fins STILL DON't KNOW if he's the man. Until we do....we have to treat the situation as if he's not...next year's QB crop is not very appealing...so it's now or never...rumor has it that Flacco...not Henne is on the Trifecta's radar screen at #32...but that's just rumors.

Brian Brohm In a West coast QB IMO Would not fit our system. I like him but, Henne Flacco are better for our team

lol@comparing flacco to Russell... why do people look at russell and just see a big arm? its like the people who looked at Ginn and just saw speed... there is more to russell than just the big arm, just like there is more to Ginn than just speed

I just hate the idea of drafting ANY quarterback with our second pick. We have SO MANY needs on this team (Cornerback, Linebacker, Wide Receiver, Defensive Tackle, Guard) if we need a QB we should've drafted Matt Ryan (i didnt want that, but I'm just saying if we're going to waste pick 32 on a backup/developtment qb, wtf)

Pick #32 should be focused on the following players
Quentin Groves (DE/OLB) Auburn
Aqib Talib (CB) Kansas (if he falls due to recent issues)
Curis Lofton (LB) Oklahoma
Dan Connor (LB) Penn St
Kentwan Balmer (DT) North Carolina
Kenny Phillips (S) Miami
James Hardy (WR) Indiana
