Please for the love of god, dont let the canes play at dolphin stadium

As a Canes fan, I don't want to see the Canes leave the orange Bowl and more than you want to see them at Dolphin Stadium.

Well, it isn't like playing on a crappy field will cost us wins seeing as how it affects both teams. By no means do I support this idea, I think it is ridiculous that we share the stadium with the Marlins as is, but I really don't think Wayne cares all that much. I doubt the backlash from the eight people who actually go to Dolphins home games will be too harsh.

If the Canes play at DS the money from the city that was going to go towards renovating the Orange Bowl will be used to fund the Marlins new stadium.

Also I've played football on fields that were made up of only dirt, so stop complaining about 'how bad our field looks.' You don't have to play on it, and it isnt even that bad.

Powerful post.

If the crybabies of baseball can play in the dirt, then I think the real men of football can handle it.

I agree totally!

yeah i understand that part but wouldnt the fins winning on a better field and more super bowls in miami because fewer people are complaining = more $?

1) It will have no bearing on Super Bowls. The NFL sprung for a completely new surface before last year's game.

2) The Dolphins played in the Orange Bowl with the Hurricanes before.
they were winning more back then also.

3) If things are scheduled wisely, the Hurricanes would play at the stadium when the Dolphins are on the road, and visa versa. Not only that, There won't be much of anything going on for the entire month of December, college-wise.

4) Even if there is a problem, you install field turf. It's much closer to grass than the old artificial turf ever was, and need less maintenance.

I love the canes almost as much as the dolphins but they should stay were they are at and the marlins should get their own field as well

Canes to Dolphin Stadium / Marlins to OB

When the State didn't provide the much needed funds for a new baseball stadium for the Marlins, the OB became the only viable alternative. The Marlins and others wanted to build the stadium in downtown Miami but without the state funds there is a major funding gap. Building the baseball stadium at the OB site costs MUCH less than building it in downtown Miami. Plus, the Canes would make more money at Dolphin Stadium without shelling money out of pocket. At the OB they would make less but would have to spend millions upon millions for the renovations. Bottom Line: Canes to Dolphin Stadium and the Marlins to the OB. You can be on it.

Could'nt have said it better.

I honestly don't think it will effect the field that much at all.
The effects of a baseball diamond is completely different.

I just don't want the Canes to leave the OB unless they have their own field.
It's embarrassing for such a prestigious program to not have a stadium.

Canes will lose home fielod advantage just like the Fins lost it after the move; not loud like the OB (acoustics etc..) Also Dolphins stadium has essentially zero good history...it has a history of injuring our players on the infield, no playoffs...lol The history on the field at the OB is incredible; moving the fins from that holy field angered the football gods and the subsequent results speak for themselves. I'd love to see someone do a graph on winning percentage at each place, pro bowl p-layers at each place etc...
