I hope you guys agree TE is one of our biggest needs this off season. This is also a very deep TE draft so it should work out for us.

What do you guys think about John Carlson or Martin Rucker in the 4th or 3rd round?

Which would you rather have between the two or please give me what other TE you would rather have and what round we should take them and why?

I really do think TE is becoming a major skill position and potential game changing position in football.

I am really high on Carlson and I really think he could be the next Jason Witten or Heath Miller.

Martin Rucker I have only looked at his stats but seems like a WR in a TE's body. Needs work blocking but has the body type to add wait and not lose a step. So if we could teach him to be a somewhat above average blocker I think he could be great.

I would still go with John Carlson. Great blocker with great hands and a good route runner.

i go to a lot of MU games and love Rucker.. 6'6 with good hands, fast and hard to take down.. ussaly taking 3 or 4 to take him down

know what Carlson is made of being a ND fan. Him, Wilford and Ginn would be a very good look for us.

Both Peele and Martin should be traded or cut. They should be worth a 6th or 7th.

I really like Carlson, the guy is a genius, on the feild and off, but he is just too slooooooowww for the pro game.

Brad Cottman is considered the best blocking TE in this year's class and at 6'8" 275lbs. with a 33 inch vertical and a 4.6 forty time he is also probably the best all around athlete for his size. He also benched a lot of reps, I forgot the exact number.

I don't even consider Keller a TE. He and Davis and those types are just another slot receiver in a spread offense.

John carlson redeem himself at the pro day he ran a 4.67 and 4.72. I would love him in the fourth.

I'd keep Peele and draft the best TE available in the 4th. Martin was a mistake, go figure. Peele would get to keep his job for one more year, he would make a passable backup. I agree TE is a big problem on this team.

I really like John Carlson as well. He could really help open up the passing game. My next favorite TE in the draft after him is Martellus Bennett. Either one of the aforementioned guys could really help our offense.

I like Rucker, excelent recieving skills and he is faster than Carlson. I like Keller, but he will be gone by our 3rd rd pick

one of the biggest responsiblity for a TE is blocking and in NFL tradinally it takes time to pick the correct person to block and gain enough strength to block too.

so it takes time to develop this so if you thinking 2-3 yr development TE then i am intrested.

i would love to see us pick up carlson, peelle is quite a decent TE but we need someone better to start, david martin is absolutely shocking.

I am liking John Carlson more every day, but he may not get past the 2nd round, and the way he is moving up, someone might even take him in the 1st. Martin Rucker is a good, but not much of a blocker, so he will have to learn better technique to be a starter.

I think Kellen Davis from Michigan State is the best prospect....with the most upside. He didn't really show his talents as much as he could have with MSU struggling a bit in their football program. I'd be more excited to have this guy over Carlson
