Please help me here with our home crowds at games...

Halftime doesn't last long enough. You're either going to have people leaving earlier at the end of the second quarter to get their hotdogs and beers and take their pisses, or they're going to come back later after the start of the third quarter. Have you ever seen the length of the lines at any one of those stops within the stadium? Now imagine that you're making more than one of them (a beer and a piss) in only 12 minutes.

Imagine if you only have that amount of time for our halftime adjustments
OH WAIT...WE DON'T DO HALFTIME ADJUSTMENTS

Years of sucking, losing record at home, team is boring. You go over there, you spend good money, it's a big deal, and play does not meet expectations. I'm encouraged they are getting as many fans as they are.

Not going to the game and how you manage your time when there are two different things. I have no problem with missing parts of the game to eat, drink, or whatever. I'd rather have an active crowd for the last 20 minutes of game time, than have everyone in their seats for the second half kick off. And if you are a bit late getting in because you were tailgating with other fans, so be it. I always want to see every play personally, but I get any of the things mentioned.

Has the Dolphins organization done anything to try to reel in the Latin Community to bolster the local fan base??

Dropping the ticket prices should fill the seats. If it does not, there is a deeper problem. I don't think immigrant or latin community is the problem. The problem is price point for the product, if the goal is full stadium.

How can getting to the gate at 12:45 for a 1:00 start be smart? I was always a 1/2 hour early to work every morning. IMO, 12:30 at the very least you should be at your gate. 1/2 hour before kickoff.

Whats with tailgating? I can remember when there was no such thing. I like it, but do they allow people to leave the stadium and then come back in? I have never been in Sun Life, but during the Orange Bowl years, if you left the stadium, you could not come back in. Waiting in the parking lots with free beer and shade seems very un fan like to me if that is the case?

Gator is correct on seat prices. Now I am not a mathematician, but wouldn't it make more sense to fill your venue with people paying a fair price, that having 1/2 of it empty because many cannot afford tickets?

Now, most of my family and friends down there have no issue with cost. It is simply easier to stay home. I have said this many times before.
"black out games. Why would anyone go to a game when they could stay home, have ****tails by the pool and the big screen"?

To get those folks in there will require no game unless they go.

We are late to everything. Not just sporting events, it is like this with anything Miami people do.

It's so hard to make plans in this city because no one is organized. No one ever arrives on time for ANYTHING.

Haven't been to a game in a few years but one problem with getting folks in on time for kickoff was that they were just SLOW to get people in at the gates. At least, that was always my experience.

yep, experienced that in buffalo too. they are pating down everyone and everything.

Im just amazed that people would complain about the heat and they are not doing anything but sitting there. oh, ok, your cheering and standing up, but

CMON MAN!

plus night games are just as empty. its not that hot is it at night?

Expensive. Ok, but we are not the most expensive ticket in the league and not even close I do not think. Is the job market so bad down there? Cus sometimes I wonder.

My belief is that the people in that city are just miserable all the time or live a lifestyle of fishing, boating, beaches, babes, and bars.....or something along those lines.

We all know the attendance at games is an issue, but that isn't my problem.

My problem is why the fans that are there aren't in their seats by kickoff and more importantly back in their seats after halftime.

I get there are traffic issues at times getting to the game, but you know you are going to the game. Make plans, get there early. It isn't like you don't know what you are dealing with, so make plans and adjust as need be for traffic.

BUT MY REAL PROBLEM is after halftime. I can't for the life of me understand how and why the stands are always so empty until midway through the 3rd quarter. Are bladders that weak you can't hold it until after the game? Are you that underfed that you have to run and grab food at halftime and stand in line forever? Do they not have vendors that come around selling beer, water, frozen lemonade, etc? Are you that deprived of a cigarette that you can't make it through another half of football without one?

This has been going on for years and it is so clear on tv how empty the stands are after halftime. Again, I just can't understand why it takes someone so long to get back to their seats to see the game. Even if the game is well attended we are still minus a majority of fans until 1/2 way through the 3rd quarter. It just doesn't add up.

Go to a game and figure it out. You out of towners are killing me with questioning us fans that are actually at games.... there are a ton of factors like waiting in lines, getting caught up talking to other fans, staff giving bad directions and thousands of other fans walking around that play a role in people not being back in their seats. Most of the time coming out the sun and going inside does increase your comfort level and you tend to linger.

I always arrived on time for school...That's about it...

I think they thought that minority owners and that stupid Latin drum band would do it...LOL

I drove 16 hours from Virginia. Got there at 12pm. Parked across the street. Had zero problem getting in. I am piss poor. It took a year to save up for the trip. I sacrificed a lot to get there. To see all of the petty complaints kinda bothers me... I'd piss myself and wear a sweat suit to every game if I had the opportunity to go. It's Miami, it's supposed to be HOT.

Where from in VA?

The Dolphins have some of the cheapest tickets in the NFL

My God, I have never seen more excuses to not attend a game. I suppose in northern climates, people bitch because it's too cold to go to a game. They don't!!! Suck it up people. So, it's hot. Big deal. Drink lots of water and Gatorade and stop complaining. You're only there for 3 1/2 hours for crying out loud. Look at people that have to work 10 hours per day in that same heat that you don't want to sit in.

This is why Miami is being ripped on nationally for having such lackluster fan support a.k.a. thousands of empty seats at Sun Life.

This is why I can't stand when people give reasons also known as "excuses" on why they do what they do.

I have nothing at all against the people who give reasons. It just gives the people who say "stop your excuses" etc. way too much room for silly nuance. There's no need to explain yourself. Why don't you show up? Why don't you come back on time? Why do you leave early? Because you can. You paid for your tickets and you can do whatever the hell you want to do. This isn't communist Cuba.

Anyone who has a problem with that needs to get over it. I can't stand fanboys waving angry pom poms at the rest of us. What we do with our time and money is of no concern to you. We get it. You're the worlds best fan and we're a "disgrace." Fantastic. Gold star for you. :rolleyes2:
