Apparently, 790 the ticket's contract for broadcasting rights are coming to a close and WQAM may get the new contract. This article states that Cefalo is the play by play man no matter which station gets the new contract. If they move to WQAM then Mandich may come back as color and there is even a possibilty that there will be a 3 man booth with Cefalo, Mandich, and Rose.

My question is why is Cefalo locked in as the voice of the Dolphins? I.M.O. he is awful!!!!!!! I mean awful!!!!!! When I think about the days of Rick Weaver, Bill Zimpfer, and even Howard David. I want to either cry or puke. I used to enjoy listening to the radio broadcasts when they were the play by play guys. Cefalo has made the broadcast unlistenable. I wonder if we get a letter writing campaign going we can get the Fins to change there mind about Cefalo.

Do you guys agree that Cefalo is awful and should be replaced? If so, does anyone have any thoughts on how we can make our voice heard while the Fins contemplate their next broadcasting team?

Mandich and Howard David were reguarded across the nation as the best Radio Announcers in the country when they used to do the games. Man I loved listening to those guys together. F*ck Cefalo man, I want Mandich-David

He will be around at least until 790s contract expires .I am not sure but I seem to remember the contact was for three years so he is a lock for next year.

The Dolphin org has the final say and Cefalo is one of their favorite sons so he may get renewed if the contract is awarded to another station too.

Yes he will as stated in Barry Jackson's article. My point is he sucks!!!!! I say during this window when the new contract is up for bidding, we fans can let our voice be heard.

I 100% agree, Mandich and David were terrific. Why did they hire the new guys?

Just wondering....does it matter who was telling you the bad news, for the Dolphin games?

If the Dolphins were a winning franchise...would anyone care?

Cefalo was a good player for the Dolphins and seems like a great guy, but he's the worst play by play guy that I've ever heard- forced annunciation, emotion, et al. Rick Weaver back in the day, that was some great Dolphins play by play broadcating. Even Hank Golberg was good on that show. Ah, the good old days- MNF football is the same, nothing compares to how it used to be, and who could beat Howard Cosell for half time highlights. In terms of Dolphins radio and MNF, the 80's kicked butt.

Cefalo has no idea how to call a game or has no decent insight into the game. The classic thing is always Dolphins (any player) around the right end for 25 yards and then 30 seconds later. Looks like a penalty on the play, could be holding against us. I can't even listen to our own broadcasts anymore. He needs to go!

Unless we can figure out a way to make a big enough stink about it.

Unless someone has a hearing problem then yes! It's a big deal either way.

When the team is losing then you get Cefalo blundering names and making matters even worse.

BTW, Cefalo is one of the reasons for a slight uniform change this year

he just has no personality...maybe too articulate?

i dont care if it means no more Joe Rose. He ruins every call of a big play from Cefalo by screaming over the top of it, like that Chambers TD catch to beat Buffalo in 2005. He's not very good at all......Not that i'm a huge Cefalo fan either.
