Please someone, shed some light on our pass rush?

I have noticed that our D will have an enormous pass rush for parts of the game and then it dissipates. Even Sanchez had all day in the pocket on Sunday in the 2nd half. Maybe I do not understand defensive strategy but if Brady gets that kinda time we are doomed. Question: Why do we always stop pass rushing when it's working for us and go to a soft cover or man to man?

This has haunted me the last few games, and the only answers I have is:


1) Defense gets tired

or

2) Defense coordinator sucks

or

3) Both.

Yea I don't get it it's baffling, I do know if we don't get pressure this week we may be in trouble

Yup, i'd say its the reason we lost against the Saints, Drew Brees had all day to throw on some of those downs!!! The first half, our D was all over him, 2nd half, I think our D forgot the Saints had a great QB back there flicking TD's all day because he didnt get sacked once!!!
