I'm not saying that Henne will be bad...I don't want people to interpret the title of the post the wrong way. i just want to know why some of you believe that he will be so good.

I know that he has the "tools" to be a good qb in the NFL but how was he in Michigan. I don't follow Michigan football so I honestly don't know much about him. I believe that he started 4 years at Michigan and played against really good competition...but I've also heard that he never was able to win a "big game" and that Ohio State beat Michigan all 4 years that he was there. I've also heard that he makes mistakes but bounces back from them. I have mixed feelings about Henne. I hope all you people who wanted him to start are right because you all got your wish.

Go Fins!!!

I agree... I hope he does well, but I don't see why everyone thinks that he is our "Franchise QB"! To me, he has proven nothing. But, only time will tell.

Nobody knows anything. As a fan of the Dolphins, I can hope he's a franchise qb. Much like Philly fans hope Kolb is their guy, Lion fans hope Stafford is theirs, and Bills fans hope Edwards is theirs.

What I WONT DO is bash the guy like so much of the garbage I've seen on this forum the last 2 days. I'll hope he's good, rather than seemingly hope he's terrible so that my opinion will be confirmed to a collection of faceless usernames on the internet

Like him or not he is our starter now. So I will support him, but with caution. I see a lot of the same problems through the preseason and yesterday, Bad footwork, not getting deep enough on his drop, staring down receivers, etc. I will give him yesterday and even to some extent the Buffalo game as jitters, but if he keeps doing things that shouldn't have to be coached to a pro qb it is going to raise a lot of questions. Like the guy or not he is the starter!

why not...we'll because he really has not done much. He's also looked bad in pre-season and if he was really that much better than C. Pennington (some of you guys said that he was better) than why didn't he start?

Go Fins!!!

Sal....he was playing with the 3rd string. He didn't start because Sparano said all along that "Pennington is my guy". I guess you don't remember that. NOTHING Henne could have done in camp or preseason would have changed that. Is that hard to comprehend?

I never said I did not like him. Of course I will support him and I'm excited to see what he could do...but I just want to know why some people are so high on him.

I hope C. Henne becomes a great qb for the Fins...I will support him.

Go Fins!!!

Ok I will give you that. You are right...he was not getting in as long as Pennington was healthy. It isn't too hard to comprehend...I understand but why do you think he will be so good? That's all I want to know.

I am so glad next week is a home game....starting him on the road could be troublesom.

.....because......if Henne does not work out NOW, we are officially out of any playoff race for the next 2-3 years (IF we are lucky).

We would have to retool at the most difficult position at which to do so.

This is why I was shaking my head all last year while so many people were all giggly over Penny and our record.

I knew it was instant gratification that would come at a PRICE.

That price was stopping the development/search for a young franchise qb.

All we did was get a quick "fix". Heroin right in the arm, and now all the fans have woken up to find us all in a dark alley smelling of trash.

Now, are you glad you mortgaged our Franchise future on a year of wins?

I am not.

I wanted to sacrifice the needle and get us SECURE at the most important position.

How is your hangover feeling? The party is over.
